Simple
Purchased for travelling across Europe and the EU where a good chunk of data was needed. This worked out much cheaper than doing so via the current provider.Placed SIM in, activated an account, payment added... All very easy. Coverage , signal strength were without issue. Excellent data amount for the price. Payment stopped after the 2 months without fuss. Now kept as a spare SIM should anyone in the family need it.All very simple and painless.

Mixed bag
Came from O2 as my bill was getting really steep and this was a good alternative, so far it’s been a bit of a mixed bag with the setup, not being able to sign up due to a weird email sign up bug that wouldn’t allow me to pay tried different cards and ended up fixing it with a different email that I hadn’t used on the site before, after that fiasco I can’t say I’ve had any complaints really the service is definitely extremely location dependant but this the same for most sim companies I live in South London personally and it works about as well as O2 did which is honestly just ‘fine’ where I live I usually get about 30mbps down and like 2mbps up, in 5G supported areas I’ve seen up to 300+mbps which is an extremely welcomed change to the underwhelming mess that’s O2’s 5G network that’s got better coverage but will usually still give you 4G speeds. But yeah it connects it works it’s cheap there’s no annual prices rises and the service is pretty good my only complaint is that I wish they offered ESIM’s rather than buying a physical one and having to waste plastic.

Does not work well even in a good mobile signal area
we bought this to cover us in our new house until the broadband was installed, we are 500m from a mast and have full 4g on both our mobile phones, but this card only gave us just over 1mb download (worse than the old dial up). Contacted them and was told that the mast was busy and that caused the slow speed, both mobiles tethered give a much better bandwidth from the same busy mast. Customer service is a bot then a person online no available phone number to contact. This does not live up to its hype and would avoid.

Cheap but issues
I bought this sim for 10p and topped up with the £20 unlimited monthly data but the internet is so slow it is almost close to the old dial up speeds when using 4g and 5g. It could just be my area (London) as it says on their website my area has a lot of users. To get a useable internet speed I had to switch my phone to just use 3G.

Great value SIM
I use this for when I go away and put it in a 5g SIM router and it works perfectly, signal strength is always good and it gets coverage everywhere I have been in the UK. Great for travelling

Bought for our 4G Router. Never looked back.
Update: 7th March '23=====Approaching nearly a year since buying my first Smarty SIM for my 4G router and things are still going strong - so much so that I have now persuaded and added my husbands smartphone to our Smarty Group Plan recently. That means more group discounts for our household, woo hoo! Husband saves money on his monthly bills compared to his previous network provider, and the monthly price for unlimited data on our router has dropped <£18 (Smarty RRP £20p/m). Winner winner!Update: 27th Sept '22=====Really happy with the service and VfM from Smarty. So much so, I've also left Tesco Mobile I've been with on my phone for 14 years and bought an additional SIM from Smarty to put in. As a result, I get a group discount and I save money on my monthly contracts. Before, I was paying too much with Tesco and never getting through all my bundle of calls, data and texts. With Smarty, there are more competitive and smaller bundles to meet my needs. Ported my number over which took 4 days in total since it was over a weekend. Number porting usually happens in 24 hours on working days.Brill!========Original Review========Bought this SIM to compliment our new 4G Router. ̶ ̶F̶o̶r̶ ̶£̶2̶0̶ ̶p̶e̶r̶ ̶m̶o̶n̶t̶h̶, £18 p/m (we get a discount in our Group Plan), I get unlimited everything with it, plus there's no throttling of data!Brilliant as my household gets through a lot of data with streaming YT, Amazon Video as well as all the social media bumf that goes with it. Also unlimited calls and texts from my router too. Most SIMs are plug and play in 4G Routers, but I find with MVNOs like Smarty or GiffGaff, you have to go into the APN settings of your router and change it to your network provider from there, and it works flawlessly from then on.BT Broadband and Phone are getting the axe very soon, they're far too expensive for what I receive, which is frankly, dire. There's so much more competition out there now from mobile network providers... You're daft to stick around with Dated BT.
