I ordered this item thinking that I’d be the lucky one. Not the case. They sent the wrong seat so the rack would not bolt on. I had the same issues as everyone else. The sissy bar only fit my 15 Road Glide with a ton of force and a rubber mallet. Once on though it was a solid fit. There was some paint damage on the bottom side like it had been dropped in the warehouse. The locking mechanisms had to be hit into place with the mallet and once locked the edges scraped paint off the bar it’s attached too. It’s not a quick on and off. The backrest pad is also poorly made. I put the pad on and when my mrs got on the bike she grabbed the pad and it fell off. I took it to the garage and unzipped it and 2 of the anchor points slipped out. I pushed them in and remounted it and it fell off again. On top of that the zipper split open after I zipped it back up. Paint is poor, fittings are poor. In the end I went down to the Harley shop and just forked out more. Harley’s was a perfect fit, backrest is solid and it goes on and off with my hands and not a hammer. Save yourself a headache, try a different brand, unless you think you’ll be the lucky one.

Looks good, but can be a pain to install. The mounts on the bottom are just barely not wide enough to properly fit on a '16 Streetglide Special, but after a bit of effort, it is definitely attached firmly. The actual pad is easier to install if you scotch tape it in place first, because the bracket design is akward. It also seems that the screw anchors inside the pad are on the flimsier side, but it is as expected in respect to the cost being sinificantly lower than getting a Harley branded product. The luggage rack is fairly sturdy with just a little bit of play as well. I will more than likely be removing the pad if I do not have my wife with me since it looks pretty good as a pseudo sissy bar without it.

Well I gotta admit I was kinda nervous buying this because of some negative reviews, but I was so wrong to doubt this.I am literally blown away at how easy the install was, I ride a 2018 Harley Davidson Streetglide Special Hard Candy Custom and this sear fits perfectly with a regular 4 point mounting. The seat cover quality doesn’t look that good but time will tell. I lock tighted everything I could just to be safe but this seat is absolutely awesome and I saved $800 by staying away from the dealer.Mounting hardware was a bit small for seat cushion but when installed properly it actually works great!I did have to add one washer between the spacer and the mount on the one side of the quick release just to make the fit perfect but a minor issue corrected easily. I heard it was difficult to fit on the 18’s but I’m here to say not so.

Nice inexpensive back rest. Very hard to get in but I assume because it’s new and aftermark. Hoping it gets a little easier to put on after some use

No instructions needed (didn’t come with any)Common sense Is all you need to assemble.Welds seem very strong, backrest seems to be good quality, I ordered the black and paint seems fine. My only advice is to add a little blue loctite to the backrest screws, the luggage rack comes with Teflon nuts so you won’t need loctite.Would have been over $400 at Harley.

Didn’t come with the bracket needed to mount the pad to the backrest. Picture shows a metal plate to bolt the backrest too I only got three pieces

I purchased this backrest and may I say it was very easy to assemble and with the right tools and proper help it was fairly easy to mount on my 18 Road Glide. I have had the backrest for some time now and have removed it off the motorcycle and with no hassle mounted back on. the material is very rough and long lasting. great purchase for my motorcycle thus far
