These seem to work as advertised in regard to protecting from stomach upset. They are pricey. However, based upon my research (and keeping in mind I am not an M.D.), they deliver more aspirin, thus anticoagulant entering the system sooner, than with buffered or time delayed aspirin. I am using the 81 mg as prescribed by my doctor as a preventative. He only prescribed a time delayed low dose aspirin and I cleared the use of these with him. If I am getting the full dose of the 81 mg product, as opposed to aspirin that is enterically coated, it is worth the extra cost.

When not allowed to take aspirin because it sits in stomach until dissolving, this is the only aspirin I can take. You have to take it with a whole glass or so of liquid so that once the capsule dissolves fairly quickly in the stomach, the liquid aspirin goes with it and into your system. The aspirin doesn't sit in the stomach this way. It is a good product just for this fact. The capsules are slightly large, so I have to take them one at a time, and they are not cheap, therefore I took a star off of "value for money" and off of "easy to swallow" for those reasons. Otherwise it is a good product.

The product does what it's designed to do. First time I've been able to take aspirin with stomach pain as an unfortunate side effect. If you have stomach issues taking regular or even enteric coated aspirin this is the first product available that solves that problem while delivering a dependable dose of medicine. If you need to take aspirin this is all that matters.Many of the reviews focus on price and naturally compare to regular aspirin but if you can't take regular aspirin because it causes horrible stomach issues, is it really a comparison? In one instance you're comparing a cheap product that you can't use with a new product that solves your problem and allows you to get the therapy. And in reality if you need to take aspirin this product isn't any more expensive than most supplements that people take every day. Over time I'm sure pricing will improve but I personally will pay the extra $ to not have awful stomach issues.In short the product does what it says allowing those of us who suffer stomach issues with aspirin to finally be able to take aspirin on a consistent basis without issue. It works well for me and in the future I will not be buying traditional or coated aspirin. Obviously speak to your doctor first and read the literature.
