HiMedia GRM4594-500G Sodium Acetate Trihydrate, A.R., 500 g

Packaged very well, exactly as described. Used for the at-home experiment ‘hot-ice’

Used this in science class for a hot ice pillar. Perfect! I found that 4.25 g sodium acetate per mL of water worked well. I dissolved it using a double boiler over the stove then poured the supersaturated solution into clean, empty water bottles in a cool water bath so the bottles wouldn't deform. When pouring out for the pillar, hold the bottle high so it doesn't crystalize the the spout of the bottle. I had to transport this in the car. To do so I floated my sealed bottles in a half way filled 5 gallon bucket (with a lid) and padded the sides and around the bottles with plastic bubble mail pillow things. All three bottles made it on the car ride.

Worked like a charm and before telling my kids what it was I made sone of the solution and blew their minds ! The bottle came quick and was packaged nicely and it’s nice that it comes in the noodle with the liddit keeisxit moisture free and ready for the next experiment . It’s great stuff and lots of fun to use .

This stuff worked great for the instant crystal demo. A little water, a lot of sodium acetate, boil till all disolved, set over night to cool. Worked perfect.
