I made a candle out of this mermaid mold. Dumb dumb me did not realize that the top is actually the bottom so disregard my wick placement. When I took it out of the mold, I was able to head the top of her head to get the metal wick holder out and pull the wick through.What I didn't realize is how weird it is that the Mermaid only covers one breast but maybe she was born with a weird nipple placement 🤷‍♀️. Before even trying the mold, I realized that it may not be possible to get the candle out as-is (and there were no reviews on doing so). I cut the side most of the way down and just stuck some tape there (although I dont think that did much) and used 2 rubber bands - held up great! No spilling.Her nose did not make it past conception but I may not have waited long enough as I'm an impatient crafter OR there could have been water left in that tiny space after I rinsed it out before using. I don't think the Tupac-like bullet holes in her arm have to do with my impatience though - maybe the glitter dispersion? Maybe more leftover water?Simultaneously, I poured a light water-blue wax and lavender wax on opposing sides of the mold and this is how it turned out. Her hair looks awesome and the rest is really incredible. Next time, I'm going to poke a hole through the mold to get that wick through it correctly and seal it up well before pouring again.

the mold needs to be stronger or stiffer it opens I even tried books on even sides the silicone is just too soft for this type of mold and makes it impose to get a wick in or keep it together I would return it but I have used it once well tried to use it

Was using only one time, and after hand wash silicone started following apart.

Filled with wax it wants to tip over immediately and on top of that the material is too thin for it to keep its shape so it just expands and gets wider and wider. It’s far too much work and is inconsistently shaped because you have to mcIvor it every time.
