I love this, i use it in my office and it helps calm my anxiety
Not only does it work great for a little calming of the anxiety, it also stimulates my mind and is quite relaxing to watch as well.. almost mesmirizing. I wish there was a little lip to keep the sand inside the tray a bit better but it provides me with such entertainment that i dont care all that much, Awesome for yourself or to gift to others. Its the only one of its kind that i have seen so far and it would make a wicked cool, unique gift

Love it
I bought this for my office, it’s very nice and everyone who walks in loves playing with it. It took a while for me to figure out how to make it make designs, came to figure out I had poured too much sand in the tray so make sure you don’t have a lot of sand so it can move well to create the beautiful designs.

Not Wooden, Plastic, Must Shape Sand
I was highly disappointed the product was not made of wood like the description states, but decided to keep it. To make it work properly, I filled the dish with sand level to the top. I then took my fingers and made the sand formation concave, higher at the edges than in the middle. this way, there is only enough sand at the tip to make the pattern and not slow it down tremendously from resistence caused by the tip being too deep in the sand.

Not sure how to spread the sand evenly with the pin it comes with.
I feel like the string is too long. I am not sure but it is way too close to the sand so I removed some sand so that the pendulum can move more freely but I do not think I did it correctly. I used the pin and rolled it around but all I did was make a mess with the sand. When I ask a question I feel I have to move it. I thought it was supposed to move on its own with energy! I am so confused. It looks nice at my altar but I feel like its an object I know nothing about!

It's not worth buying. Youre better off making your own.
Well, first let me say that this is a waste of money. I read the reviews and decided to take a chance anyways. The idea behind this is great, and COULD be done well but not even close with the equipment you're buying here.At the end of the day, I may end up using this to make some other doo-dad that I like to tinkle with. But it is not going to be any use to 99.99% of the population looking for science themed decor. It -at the very least- is a tacky piece of plastic decoration - that's all you're getting. To their credit, you are getting exactly what they picture. It just sucks. To actually get a pendulum to swing for several hours and changes its direction based on the rotation of the earth you would need the wire to the pendulum to be much longer, and the pendulum to be much more massive.

It simply is not a pendulum
I sent as a gift. I really thought it was a different kind of pendulum. It wasn't.
