Dewalt Head Edger Attach Steel 7.5IN DWOAS4ED

Absolutely perfect. Loved that I could just buy 1 electric tool from Dewalt, a few 60V batteries, and now have multiple tools at my disposal without having to buy a seperate tool handle for every single tool. Great for me since I generally work on my own, not so great for a crew unless you had multiples which may not be worth it economically. 60V 8Ahr works great, though I do recommend a 12Ahr if you have a very large yard (especially if you do plan to do weed whacking too). One warning, althought the 60V batteries are advertised to work on 20V tools, I do not advise to do so as some people have reported their tools no longer working after using a 60V on a 20V tool.

Wow. What do I do with my old corded B&D edger. This beast is amazing. Cuts deeper, faster, and lighter than my old edger. When my 11 year old edger started slowing down, I saw this on sale and figured why not. I’m happy with the weed eater attachment and I like the pole saw attachment too, but this goes and takes it to another lvl. It makes edging easy and enjoyable. Turn the power setting to low because this will throw dirt and rocks like the Tasmanian devil. If you want to consolidate your yard tools into one package you have to add this.

I have the big gas powered three wheeled trimmer. I love this as it’s very easy to do and very fast without having to mix gas and sit there and pull on the string for 30 minutes to get a gas trimmer to work. Not counting during the seasons you have to set it up with stabilizer etc. and hope it works the next season. Great product.

I purchased this to add to a Dewalt 60V string trimmer that I had purchased (DCST972) and It works perfectly. It fits my DCST972 unit perfectly, and is easy to swap with the trimmer head. It is also easy to set the blade depth and it seems to have more than enough power to cut a nice edge along the driveway. There was a little dirt build up after the edging was completed due to some rain earlier and moist soil, but it was easily scraped away. I can't speak to the durability of this unit, but if I take care of it it should work fine for a long time.

I see this more as a "lawn saw" than an edger. It tackles edging jobs that would be extremely difficult otherwise. I've uncovered curbs that were completely covered over with 2" of dirt. In fact, I've already used it to edge up and down my entire block -- both sides! Yesterday a chunk broke off the plastic shroud, but that was to be expected considering how much abuse I was giving it. It's actually easier to use now because that particular part of the shroud was keeping the edger from cutting deeper.

I was happy to have an attachment for my string trimmer that could edge the garden. Learning to edge took a little trial and error. Unfortunately, I ended up braking the guard in the back of the unit. I reached out to Dewalt to see if I could get a replacement. After taking my order, they never sent the product. I spoke to numerous customer service representatives to finally find out that my order was cancelled (they never took the money) and no one bothered to tell me. When I asked if I could acquire the replacement part, they said it was backordered and they didn't know when it would be available. The part seems to be made by MTD and Dewalt sticks their name on top of it. Pretty disappointed that Dewalt make no effort to provide me with replacement parts.

The edging was good until I have to change the blade unfortunately the screw around was so hard that I couldn't change the blade also not a video about how to change the blade very difficult
