It get the job done. The quality is average at best but it's affordable and good for at least 8 sets of piston rings no problem.

A bit tricky at first but works great
I had to sort the orientation of how to hold the ring to get it to grind my piston rings just right. Once thats sorted nice even pressure and a few rotations then flip and thats it! I made sure to count how many revolutions I turned each side so as the have good repeatability. Worked fantastic, thank you!

Decent, pads are a bit out of round so rings may get a bit uneven.

It worked good
This tool seems well built for the price and I was able to file a set of v8 rings easily. Only needed to remove a few thousandths. Make sure you remove the burr created by grinding the rings. Came with a second grinding disc so I will be able to get several uses out of this tool. I was able to easily keep the ring square against the disc.

Grinding ring end straight is critical to setting proper gap. Works great with a steady hand.
