Cartridges of the World: A Complete and Illustrated Reference for Over 1500 Cartridges

I just received this hefty volume and so far all I can say is wow! Not only are more than 1500 cartridges detailed with historical notes and general summaries, but the book also includes very informative articles on subjects including cowboy shooting, 10mm cartridges and weapons and much more. Also included is load data including bullet make and weight and powder weight and make. One extremely minor knit-pick is that the handload data does not include case overall length. You'll have to look that up elsewhere. I'm simply fascinated by the number of cartridges that are/were out there! A wonderful, extremely complete source of information for the shooting/firearms aficionado!

A must have for cartridge freaks .Still waiting for loads for a wildcat I have had for years , namely , a 250/3000 case necked up to 270 and blown out .Not exactly I think a 270 Ackley Improved which is based on a 300 Savage with a shorter neck , but made because 300 Savage cases are hard to get in Australia . Great powerful light rifle cartridge , almost exact dimensions to a 270 Creedmoor if there was one , or a 250/3000 Savage Ackley improved necked up to 270 . Good to see most of the latest Nosler rounds . I would like to see all cartridges in scale like Hornady Handbooks so we could judge relevant sizes

Far ranging book on a complex subject. There are some identification errors as well as some historical background errors but still and all an excellent general reference.

I buy the new edition of this book as soon as it comes out. It updates all the new cartridges and has most of the obsolete ones as well. it also has information for people just learning about firearms as well.

This book is awesome! I'm not a reloader or even a huge history buff, but if you've ever wanted to know more about all the cartridges out there this book is the one to buy. At 686 pages and over an inch thick binding you'll have all the information you could ever want.

It's cartridges of the world. What more can I say? It has just about every metallic cartridge ever designed, except for some really, really rare ones such as the French Tabatiere rifle cartridges (e.g. 17.5mm, .69 cal). Where available, they also provide some load data.

I buy a new edition of this book every five years or so and pass the old one on to a friend.

Una enciclopedia de los cartuchos que existen y algunos obsoletos. Lo único que no me resultó del todo grato es la forma en que está organizado el material, aún así, es una obra de contenido único e insuperable.

Excelente guia sobre todas os cartuchos para armas fabricados e vendidos no mundo. Imprescindível para todo colecionador de armas e praticante de tiro. Recomendo sem restrições.

Well written and easy to follow.Definitely worth a read if you are interested in obscure and obsolete calibres.
