I got an email from PowerBear asking how I liked the first case that I received. I was honest. I said I was very disappointed that the case was dead on arrival. I couldn't get it to work at all so I was returning it to Amazon.com for a refund. I also questioned their quality control.I received a reply from PowerBear apologizing for my experience with the first case not working. I was offered a free replacement to make up for my inconvenience with the defective case. I received the replacement case and it works perfectly. For whatever reason, the first case was a dud but the replacement works just as it should.I'm very pleased that the replacement case works fine because it is quite difficult to still find a battery case for the iPhone 5c. All of the major manufacturers still have cases for the 5 and 5s. But the cases for the 5c have been been discontinued.The PowerBear case is quite nice. It really is comparable to my Mophie Ultra at just a fraction of the Mophie's cost. The PowerBear also has a USB port so that you can use it to charge something else at the same time you are charging your iPhone. My opinion of the PowerBear has changed from my original one star rating to a five star rating and I highly recommend it for the iPhone 5c.

I can go a week with heavy usage and almost 2 weeks with moderate to use.Now that I have had this awhile I am having a problem with the charger. It will not charge my phone to 97% anymore. It charges to 80% and then shuts off and will not charge any farther, no matter what I do. The Power Bear still has 50-75% in it. I have begun to remove phone and charge it separately. I am making it 4-5 days on this thing, because it won't charge the phone up like it used to. It still better to have it than not. Just seems to have lost something since I got it in August. It died a few moth ago and I miss it the new one I got is junk!

Unfortunately I have to write a negative review for this product, tho among all the positive ones I’m sure it will be lost, I have been unable to get a response from the company so I am posting a review which is something I am always too lazy to do on Amazon :-( I ordered this when I was on a trip when it came it felt very very slippery and I posted in the answer section about it and everyone said they have no problem holding onto it. It’s very slippery. Maybe it’s the color I chose? Anyway it is what it is. I put some grip tape on it and went about my business. My problem with this product is that it doesn’t even give my little iPhone SE a full charge!! If I start it with the phone off or at 2% I get to about 76%. Today I turned it on while the phone was still at 12% and I got all the way to 80%. Big whoop. Due to unforeseen circumstances and traveling I didn’t even start using it until the return by date had passed. I’m pretty frustrated and almost angry. Sure the price is great but if it doesn’t do what is promised to then it is of no use to me!! I just feel so misled! I hate it when I do research and make a choice only to feel like I got taken for a ride. Grrr

Certainly served its purpose! I used this for long long days of work and even traveling through Europe when I would be without a phone charger for hours. Pieces of the case did break off beginning immediately after unboxing it and throughout the period of time I used it. Even though pieces came off it still worked. Four months in to having this the black “screen” portion was peeling off.

At first I loved this case especially bc I can charge my other phone from the case...however after only a few weeks my phone no longer charges so I have to charge the case and then push the power button to charge my phone...thus defeating the whole point of having a battery case.

So far, working great. Needed to go on-line to figure out how to make the phone and case charge together (must turn the charger battery on first, THEN plug the charger in and then both will be charged fully). Hoping this charger lasts as long as her Mophie did (2 years).

Pros: Nice color, keeps phone charged all day, easy to chargeCons: Big and bulky, color interferes with flash when taking a photo, a lot heavier than expected

This is my second Powerbear. Received the first as a gift. It took a week or so to get used to the extra bulk, but you do get accustomed to it, and it is so wonderful to never run out of power!!!! Love the fact that both phone and case can be powered up overnight.
