Is this a good fit for a loud work environment? Also is the bass adjustable?

I work in a pretty large sheet metal shop and it is pretty loud. In a 25 ft radius it is loud enough with grinders and such operating around me. The bass is not adjustable. This speaker is well worth the money

power adapter what style? Wall, USB?

It is USB type-C cord no wall outlet included in the box. So you have to use your phone charger if you have type-C or preferably connect the USB type-C together with your 5V charger that's 2A and above. I have a Motorola G7 power so I use the same power adapter for phone and speaker.

Is this a stereo or mono speaker?

It is absolutely stereo! To the point that you will clearly hear left and right panning in mixes. Then you can get two and pair them, and it's advertised as true left and right stereo. Given that there is a 3.5mm input jack as well, I plan to get a long cord with a splitter that goes from stereo to mono, left and right so I can play guitar through my effects unit, and then run from the stereo auxiliary out into each speaker. I'm so excited to get the next one.

How does this compare to the soundcore Motion Plus for the money and good clarity

I have the Soundcore Motion+ and the W-King D8. For sound quality in my opinion the Motion+ wins, but only slightly. If I were sitting in my living room with the speaker beside me, I'd probably choose the Motion+. However, the D8 is a beast compared to the Motion+ while still having balanced sound that is not overwhelmed by its excellent bass. The longer I have my D8 (about 2 years) the more I love it, not just for its booming bass power, but for its pleasant sound. D8 is a very enjoyable speaker even when not blasting. If I could only have one of these, I'd pick the D8 without hesitation.
