Adequate protection. Nicely elastic, feels durable.
Nice fabric. Non allergic. Adequate band width above and below the padding to ensure it stays in place during use. Snug yet not tight and blood squeezing. Padding is just superb. My main use is for yoga (child pose, push ups, Surya namaskar) not volleyball or active sports. So my perspective is limited and not all encompassing. Exactly as shown in photograph.
