Great "true hair" bristle brushes.
These sturdy, wooden handled, hair-bristle brushes are an indulgence bought for the pleasure of our child substitutes, our feral colony of cats. We feed and water them daily and many of them have accepted our petting, especially at after-meal treat time. Several have learned that a brush feels good and is beneficial for cleaning their coats of dirt and clinging weed parts (clover seed pods and foxtails, etc.). The nylon and plastic bristle brushes we have used were o.k. but these new hair bristled brushes are a cut above. The willing recipients have responded so happily that we are much rewarded and pleased with the purchase.

Great for skinny kitties
My old girl is frail and doesn't have much fat or muscle left on her, so regular slicker brushes are no good for her anymore. She does not like them, even as much as I tried to avoid going over her bony areas. She has stopped grooming herself long ago so wipes and the occasional bath are necessary, but after she had gotten matted so badly back a while ago, I had to find something to help keep the mats at bay after we got them shaved. This brush is super soft and gentle. She doesn't mind the strokes going over her spine or hips. Of course she lets me know when she's had enough, but it's helping me to keep her fur looking like when she was a young girl. The card that comes with the brush tells you that when you first get it, it will lose some bristles. So before I used it, I held it over the waste basket and just ran my thumb over it until I felt like enough had come out, just so it wouldn't be shedding so much elsewhere. That seemed to work pretty well because it hasn't really lost any bristles as I've been using it. It only seems like a lot come out, but the brush is pretty dense and well made. I'm glad the card came with it explaining the bristle loss.

Natural bristles
The only thing I'm not crazy about is it's a bit small. I thought it would be a little bit larger for my little 6 pounder. It's fine for my 12 pounder it should larger. I am replacing one that I had for many, many years.Which was larger than this however the bristles were not natural

The cat loves it!
It's a good brush, well-constructed, no loose hairs or splinters. The cat enjoys being brushed with it, and it's made his coat noticeably shinier. It has a mild de-shedding effect but is gentle on the skin.

Not bad, not amazing.
Slightly smaller than expected and I don't notice much difference from my other bristle brushes.I used this on 1 long haired cat and 2 short haired cats. It definitely moves the oil and is nicer to think of then plastic bristles. That said, it seems smaller than expected and I'm not sure I will re buy for $12.

Very nice
This is a really nice, sturdy cat brush for short haired cats. The bristles are the perfect stiffness…not too stiff or too soft and it’s very well made. I definitely recommend it.

Cat loves this brush
I have a cat who just happens to love to be brushed. It's a great way to bond with her and get some excess fur off. She loves to be brushed with this brush. She loves to rub her cheeks on it. It won't get the undercoat off. I have to use a de-shedding brush for that, but this brush is good for day-to-day brushing. It is sturdy and well made too.

Cat brush with boar bristles
I am actually very pleased with this product, and so is my cat.The bristles are thick and soft. My cat loves to be brushed but was not liking the metal fur comb anymore. She is a 17 year old cat, with delicate, sensitive skin, and wants to be pampered. The brush was more costly than other brushes, but I am glad I bought it.Haven't seen many boar bristles come out, so I am hopeful to get a years use out of it. The cat gets brushed every other day.

Read before you buy
So i will review this The Buddy System Cat Brush as best I can with my opinion on it.The Cons: removes very little fur I have a second brush for deshedding, can never remove all fur when used, small handle it works but hard on hands if you have hand issues,Pros: the box it comes in. I keep it in it and the fur you cannot remove is contained, The absolute best thing about the brush is THE CAT'S LOVE IT omg do they purr so loud, it MAKES THE CATS FUR SHINESo in all do i recommend it. Well for deshedding Nope but if you have a good deshedder brush and want to have a fine tune brush to make their fur shine its a simple YES.Hope this review helps.

It’s a massage brush, not a grooming brush
It’s a massage brush, not a grooming brush, and based on how the cat reacted it’s a very good massage brush. My only concern is it shed one or two bristles, hopefully they don’t all come out. Time will tell.
