Quite nice
I like FACOM stuff and already have a 3/8" normal socket set. This is a useful ratchet. Once you have set the ratchet to tighten, you can twist the ratchet handle clockwise or anticlockwise and it will still turn the 1/4" connector in the tighten direction. If you change the ratchet to loosen, you can again twist the ratchet handle clockwise or anticlockwise and it will still turn the 1/4" connector in the loosen direction. This is twice as efficient! If you don't want to twist the handle, you can still use it like a normal ratchet where you swing the handle.If you have a socket attached, you have to grip and hold the socket firmly before you can swivel the ring that changes the direction. If you don't have a socket attached, you will have to grip the 1/4" square connector which is a bit harder.The tighten / loosen ring isn't always as easy to use as a normal ratchet that has a direction lever, but I can mainly see this ratchet being used for special jobs. It is quite small in length compared to other ratchets. Also, it is quite noisy and the one that was delivered to me was a bit different from one Amazon displayed. Mine had a metal black socket release button.Hopefully it will last. If it doesn't you have the FACOM guarantee to fall back on.

Great little gadget.
If you work in tight places, this is a very handy ratchet. Just turn the handle in any direction and it tightens or loosens depending on setting.
