CURBYIPG Water-Activated Tape, 2.83" x 100M Refill Roll (4-Pack), Tan (CBIWAT)

This is just what I needed. As a small business owner, I try to make things easier if I can. I purchased my tape from Sticker Mule and all I needed to do was load the tape and add water then boom! Assembly was simple, it doesn't require power and it's compact so it fits perfectly on my desk. You even get a roll of tape to start with which was a nice gift. I would highly recommend this product if you're looking for something affordable and compact for your water activated tape.

I have now ordered two of these units. The first one I purchased worked fairly well for about a month. I then placed an order for another. About a week after I placed the order for the second one... the first one that was ordered has completely went downhill... FAST!Tape is consistently jamming and needing to be cleared. I have cleaned and cleaned the tape path but it still jams. The push arm that advances the tape slips with just 3 lbs of pressure. I have looked and looked for ways to contact Curby directly to avoid leaving a negative review but to no avail.Now to their defense... the second unit I purchased has been performing wonderfully for 2+ months now... fingers crossed.My advice... if you are getting this on a budget OR you are new to the water activated tape game... This is a fantastic choice!If you are already using WAT and ship out more than maybe 100 packages a week... I would continue looking and spend a bit more.

There was no room in my laundry room for the old machine. I had to leave it outside and after two rolls of tape were ruined by dampness and cold, (and having to take the tape roll in and out every time I used it), I decided to look for something I could bring indoors. This little machine works great for my home ebay business. One caution...my first attempt at using a maximum length of tape. I pushed the lever pretty hard and the water tank flew out! So far, this little machine works great and it looks pretty snazzy, too!

It was Amazon's robust packaging that opened my path to water activated gummed tape packaging. They are just that much superior and probably more environmentally friendly than traditional plastic shipping tapes. This product is just the right size and capacity for small business packaging - perhaps some dozens of packaging per day. This comes initially with a 300ft tape, and similar replacement tapes are easily accessible on Amazon or even offline retails like Home Depot. For higher packing volume, electronic tape dispensers might be better suited. Sturdy and easy to set up, no electricity required, water-activated parts mostly plastic, so no major maintenance required. Very happy with the purchase.

As an at home small business, I was looking for a small water taper that didn’t take up much space and this is perfect! I’ve had it for a few months now and ship on average 30 packages a month. My boxes are smaller so it was really important that I could control how much tape came out and this little machine allows you to do that. It’s easy to set up, use and I’ve had no jams. Well worth the investment!
