Great for traveling and keeping the ice cream cold. Sometimes we will buy ice cream, but then need to travel for a while and this keeps it from becoming soup.

The canteen is really great. The color is perfect. Keeps the ice cream cold and without dripping. I can eat my ice cream calmly without having to worry it will melt. Recomend 100%. The natural temp once i get the ice cream out is 80-110F outside and this keeps it frozen.

As I sit here at the airport, after an overnight flight delay, the one good thing I can tell you is about your Ice Cream Canteen!I am originally from New England, and now live in California, and wanted to bring my California friends a taste of REAL New england clam chowder. I read online that you could take FROZEN items through airport security, but how to do so? I ordered one of your canteens.I bought a pint of my favorite chowder and put chowder and canteen in the freezer. Then on morning of my flight I popped the frozen pint chowder container into the canteen, put the canteen in my carryon luggage, and traveled to the airport. Of course security did have to open it to make sure was frozen.. and it was still frozen solid.There was an overnight flight delay, and so i once again traveled to the airport, and went through security., and we checked and found the chowder was was still frozen solid, this is 24 hours after my initial trip.While at the airport, I showed off your canteen to several of my fellow stranded travelers, one of whom immediately ordered one on the spot for her next trip.Thanks for making such a great product.Jessica Miller

I have a Cusinart ice cream maker so i make ice cream iand freeze in these containers. I have 4 of them. Even stays frozen inside our Yeti when going to the cabin (4 hours away). This would have been a 5 star but i have returned several of these because the stainless steel outer lid separates from the plastic inner lid. I tried gorilla glue to hold it together but one of those "fixes" just came apart last night. Going to try some metal bonding epoxy next

Placed my canteen in a cooler for a long drive. My ice cream was still solid frozen after 8 hours! Glad I bought 2 on my first order! Delighted customer here!

I really wanted to love this container, it's a great idea, I love the shape and it's all metal design is what I look for. BUT, the lid is so wide it can be a bit tough to tighten or open. In addition, with the lid tightened down, I noticed I could lift the lid away from the canister about 1/4 inch on one side. This, of course, prevents a good seal which will allow air from the outside in, thus warming the ice cream a bit quicker.I returned the canister, did some more shopping around and ended up buying a similar container from S'well which worked out better but is not all metal.Sorry "Ice Cream Canteen" I tried, but this container doesn't quite work for me.

I love to make my own ice cream but whenever I gift ice cream, I have to find ways to make it stay cold for at least an hour long ride.After buying this, I put some homemade ice cream straight in the container and transported it to my in-laws on a warm summer day. I still put it in a cooler for my fear of it melting but it held up pretty well. I am glad that I made this purchase so I am not always digging through my freezer trying to find ways to keep my ice cream cold.

Basically useless unless you purchase only certain brands you know will fit. Very weird choice in size for this. Outside dimensions are large but still doesn’t fit a lot of ice cream pints, they have to be short pints or the lid won’t seal / turn. Won’t work with nearly any pint containers you can purchase empty and fill yourself. If you buy normal pint containers they’re too tall and if you buy special short ones they too wide.
