Works as advertised
I received this earlier today and it installed easily and seamlessly. No hiccups. I have a 2020 Mitsubishi outlander sport, and I simply plugged the unit into my usb port in my car and it fired right up. There were no decisions to make, no codes to enter, I plugged it in and within about 30 seconds it started working. Basically, it sets up a new Bluetooth connection, which supersedes the normal Bluetooth you might have set up with your car direct to your phone. It works identical to a wired set up, the only difference is there is a tiny lag with the wireless set up as opposed to the wired. But the lag is tiny, and I got used to it quickly.I took about a half hour drive on the highway just to test everything out, and everything works just as well as with the wired, voice dictate, Siri, etc.Again, the only difference I could tell was that tiny lag. I also did some shopping meaning I got in and out of my car several times, of course turning it on and off, and it seems to be about 20 seconds from the time you start your car to the time that it's ready to go.The only negative, and it wasn't even a negative for me because my set up was flawless, was the little direction book was very terse; indeed, there's better instructions on the Amazon product description page. It did ship with a tech-support card giving clear instructions of how to contact technical support if you do have problems. But again, I didn't have ANY problems. I plugged it in and it started up and started working the way I expected it to.Tomorrow, I have a wireless charger/phone holder coming in so this should get me off of chords completely.I've only used it one day now, but I'm completely satisfied with it. It does everything I expected it to do.

It works well..if you drive a Volvo XC60
I purchased this unit because my Volvo XC60 doesn't offer wireless CarPlay. I had read mixed reviews and decided to try this unit on my own.The first thing I did was to order a better connector cable. The one that comes with the unit is barely two inches long and would make it difficult to make a good connection because the USB port is inside the center console and the cable included would barely reach it.The initial connection was very simple. I just followed the instructions that came in a little flyer with the unit and I got a solid Bluetooth connection right away.I'm not experiencing any significant delay while listening to podcasts. There may be a slight delay, of two or three seconds, when skipping tracks on Apple Music. I have to say I don't use any navigation apps because I'm still using the native Volvo system for driving directions.I'm not experiencing any dropouts. When I step in the car, the connection is recognized within ten seconds. Volvo asks me then to choose between a wired or wireless connection. I choose wireless and after another ten to fifteen seconds, I click on the CarPlay app on my display and it goes back to the last app I was using when it opens.I'm pleased with the unit's performance in general and I would not go back to wired. At least in my car, the unit delivers as promised.

Works Perfectly After Update
This device worked exactly as intended with my 2022 Subaru Crosstrek- when it worked at all. The setup was simple: plug in to the car and connect to the device with Bluetooth. There’s no lag or glitches with the display. I was super happy with it… for the most part. However, I wish I’d read through the Amazon comments when I was first setting it up.I used this for about 2 weeks and about 80% of the time it worked perfectly. The other 20% it wouldn’t connect to my phone no matter what I tried; unplugging the device, restarting my phone, turning the car off. I couldn’t figure it out. I came to leave a dissatisfied review after giving up on getting it to connect AGAIN, but saw a comment from another user talking about updating the device by connecting to it via its own wifi signal. This process took about 10 minutes total but was otherwise very straightforward. Afterwards, the device connected to my phone immediately. I’m going to hold off on updating my review to 5 starts until I can make sure it works consistently, but I’m feeling hopeful!Make sure to use the update procedure the very first time you connect to avoid any headaches with using this product.EDIT September 2022 (about 5 months after purchase):Still working great! There have been a few times recently when it has randomly disconnected after a few minutes of driving (the entire device seems to lose power and reboot). It hasn't caused any major disruptions nor does it happen frequently, so I'm still happy with it overall. Even with the hiccups, its definitely a must-have item!

Buen producto para Carplay
Es un muy buen producto, el problema que par Android auto tienes que conectarlo, y muchos tienen éste tipo de teléfono. Seguiré buscando uno para Android.
