Quality
I just received this knife as a Christmas gift. I was impressed with the quality of the knife. It was well made, sharp out of the box. I make knives as a hobby and I like a clean smooth fit between materials. And this knife was so smooth and clean. I love it ! It feels good in the hand, has a good balance. Again I am VERY IMPRESSED.

Much Better Than Expected
For the price I paid I was not expecting the quality I received. The Damascus steel is beautiful and part of the handle and guard as well as the blade. The handle fits nicely in my hand and the large blade is nicely balanced by it. The accompanying leather sheath is functional but a little awkward. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.Happy Holidays!

a hefty knife
this is a thick knife very good quality blade is sharp it did come wrap in plastic also was pretty drenched in oil im probably to help the blade fits a little weird in hands more for people with bigger hands the sheath is not that good got some stiching issues took me a extra couple of minutes to get the knife back in an even though the sheath has two buttons to hold knife in place it still wobbles over all i like it

Shockingly good
This looked cool in the listing, but is so much better in person! It looks awesome - the blade is beautiful and a really cool shape, the handle is also beautiful, and it is larger than I thought it would be. The quality is amazing - I would expect something this solid and heavy to be more expensive. The sheath is really cool, and would be worth buying all by itself. I am seriously impressed by this thing.

A Well Crafted Knife, But Poorly Crafted Leather Sheath!Sheath!!
I bought this knife for the primary reason that I wanted a truly functional, full tang, coffin handled "Bowie" knife to wear on hikes. This one, with its D2 tool steel blade, seemed to be the nicest of everything I've looked at in its price range. This is an excellent, very well crafted knife. A quick file test across its spine demonstrated that the blade is indeed hardened quite well. It's definitely a fully functional, working knife! It feels very comfortable in my hands and it's very well balanced. All the plunge grinds are symmetrical, and it came very sharp with close to mirror polished edge. In the video, it is mentioned that the blade has a "false edge." Unfortunately, mine did not come with a false edge. It came with a swedge. An unsharpened suggestion of an edge on the spine of a blade is called a swedge. A sharpened edge on the spine of a blade that does not run the full length of the blade is called a false edge. To clarify, a false edge is sharpened. The handle scales are very well finished and pinned tight to the full tang. However, it did not come with the brass pins shown or stated in the video. Rather, it came with aluminum pins. The handle is not quite shaped like the one shown in the photos and in the video. The exposed tang sides of the handle of mine do not have the concave surfaces as shown. Rather, mine has straight surfaces. The hand guard came as advertised and rock solid with a nicely polished finish. The leather sheath was disappointing though, with its thin, narrow, riveted on belt loop and foam-like welt, unlike the one shown in the photos, the video, and the full YouTube video.I contacted Poshland Knives with my concerns regarding the sheath and received a prompt reply. I included a description of what I expected in a leather sheath. I even asked if they could build me a proper sheath and stated that I would be more than willing to pay for their services. Their reply was, "We did request makers to make one new for you with better leather material. If you have any picture or specifics, please do send." So, apparently, they are building me a proper leather sheath to my specifications. For now, I believe a three star review is in order. Despite the differences in the advertised knife and the one that I received, it is fully functional, aesthetically pleasing, and I am satisfied with it as is, so I would not have deducted review stars for the discrepancies in the knife that I've mentioned. However, had the leather sheath been made properly with a wide, strong belt loop, and a leather welt, I would have gladly given a five-star review. Because of the statement on their page that reads as follows, "Poshland GUARANTEE: That item will last and and recepient will be happy. For any issue, we are always here to help," I've assumed that they want to make this issue right. I received the knife on April 1, 2025. I will update this review whether or whether not the sheath issue is resolved by the seller. If I get the properly built leather sheath that the seller and I have discussed, I will then adjust my review accordingly.

Great fit and finish
I buy a lot of knives, some inexpensive and some moderately expensive. These are the nicest I've bought at this price point. In fact you would expect the knife to be much more expensive.. The blade is beautiful, it feels so good in your hand. The handle is solid, it feel right and the fit is great. Recommend.
