Catscratcherz Cat Scratcher Lounger Bed with Catnip, Large (82 cm)

I bought the triangle shaped version of this scratcher earlier this year and my cats tore it to shreds (in a good way). They love the way this cardboard feels on their claws and it doubles as a bed/toy for them to lounge or pounce on another. I sprinkle catnip in the insides of the loops to encourage them to use as much of the surface but I do feel like some surface space is wasted because the middle bed is too small for them to scratch effectively. This size props up perfectly on the back of my fold-out couch and helps save my furniture, plus it is more attractive than a regular cat scratcher. I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because I've only had it for a month and a half and the cardboard is already starting to fall apart and end up all over my living room - since it is a decent chunk of money for a cat scratcher I wish it would hold up a little bit longer before needing replacing. This could be because the smaller triangular scratcher held up longer so my expectations were higher than a person purchasing this for the first time. My cats love it, though, so I still recommend.

We've had 2 of like these for about 4 years. Since we got them we've adopted 2 more cats! The old cat scratcher loungers were really getting used, in fact they had holes dug though! They were expensive but since we had them for such a long period of time I felt we got our money's worth. I was ecstatic when I saw these on Amazon at a price that I could not resist. I ordered 4 of them, one for each cat and they absolutely LOVE them. I admit they can be messy, but having them scratch and lounge on them is a lot better than having them scratch and lounge on our furniture. All 4 are on hard surfaces so a broom and dustbin make clean up easy, and I've also taken the vacuum to them. Two of our cats are LARGE (16+ pounds) and they have no problem lounging. It drives our little dog crazy, he can't figure out why they scratch and lounge on them LOL.

Soooooo I was a little hesitant about buying this because it was pricey. It was on sale so I went for it......so glad I did. Went to order more and the price was back up : (Anyway my cat loooooooves this! He has cardboard scratchers galore but this is his absolute favorite. My cat is a big boy so I was a little worried about him fitting on it. 13lbs he weighs. He has no problem. I was wondering how he was gonna feel towards it because his others are all flat and the curved one I got him before he didn't like. Soon as I put this down he was right on it. I keep it in the living room cause he is always where we are. If he's not on it, he's on my lap. Sooooo glad I saw this on sale and bought it. Next time I will buy more. The company emailed me a couple times when it shipped and then received. The emails were really cute. : )

Both of my kitties really like this scratcher for both scratching and lounging. And it's nice and large, too, plenty big for even my 16 lb. ragdoll cat!Edited to add: The price I purchased this for was $28.43 -- and now it's up to nearly $50?! That is way too high, so when this one wears out, will buy another PefFusion or Best Choice (which was the one I owned previous to this one and my cats liked just as much) or similar bed, as I certainly won't spend $50 on a scratcher that will wear out in a few months. So, changed my 5 star to 4 stars, due to the huge price increase!

The first week or 2, my two cats did not seem to be interested in the cat lounger. I was thinking about moving it to another location in the house when one of my cats decided to claim it. Now he spends the better part of the day on it. He spends his nights in his cat tree, but during the day he lounges on this. Both of the cats use it as a scratching post and it does make a little bit of a mess. I do not mind the mess. It saves them from scratching on the furniture. It probably will not last a lifetime, but I should be able to get a year or two from it. It was worth the money.

I'm writing this review 3.5 years after purchase. Our cat still LOVES this after all this time. It looks a little haggard now after years of scratching and our fat cat has weighed it down in the middle but it still hold and still has scratching room to go. Our cat practically lives on this thing.

Bosley just loves his new scratching bed - and yes it is a bed or more like a lounger as you can see in the photos. He climbed on board as soon as I unwrapped it and has been clawing his way through to the Earth's core ever since.What I love about this though, is that despite all the scratching there are no little cardboard bits to pick up -- heaven.Best lounger in my opinion and less expensivel than some of the others, but sturdy, great color and actually looks like a piece of modern furniture -- with a happy cat on board 😼

CAT APPROVED! My two cats took to this scratcher bed like it was meant to be there all along. The tightly packed cardboard really gives them something to dig into, and they lounge around on it for hours. I ended up getting two, so they would both have one and cut down on the endless game of king of the scratcher that they had going on!

Like many others here, ours came broken. The sides were off. It might look a little messy, but the Cat didn't mind. Since we got this he has spent more time on this than on our sofa, with his claws out!I don't know why they all seem to break. But I do know that this works, and the cat loves it. When he's scratched it to oblivion we will get another one!

Nice scratch pole but is quite damaged all around the outside considering the price i paid.

Very swift delivery and a great product. Our cat is an indoor cat and has destroyed many scratch posts but this is very sturdy and he loves playing on the catscratcher
