55 active, and now no more pain!
I rarely write reviews, but this is a winner! I saw all the Rise coffee/cocoa ads on Insta and I came to Amazon and found there were less expensive options. I didn't want something with Melatonin or anything else sleepy. After a month I noticed a major improvement in my body aches. I'm 55 and I run 3x a week and do F45 3 times a week. I'm been having knee pain, hip pain and piriformis pain and now... not much noise from the peanut gallery. I have very little pain! I didn't really expect that, I was just following a fad. I drink it with Laird coconut tumeric creamer (also bought on Amazon) and 2 packets of splenda and it is yummy. I did find that when I drank it right before bed, I had a hard time sleeping. Then I noticed that the label says "Mood plus Concentration." So I take it in the afternoons when I'm having a hard time working at the computer -- bam! I'm back to it. It's like my old Diet Coke (may it rest in peace) but without the caffeine issues. I've sent the link for this product to many friends!

Mid Taste, Exellent Effect
We use some nesquik powder, some table sugar, and then some of this- it doesn't taste the best on its own, but if you put two tablespoons regular hot chocolate powder, a teaspoon of this, and a teaspoon of sugar into heated whole milk, you get the effects while it tastes like a classic holiday treat :)My husband loves this, and says it 'undoes' his ADHD, as he can now focus on a single task for hours. There's no crash. It brings his mood to a more neutral zone, as well.We will purchase this again, for ourselves and as gifts for others.

I recently purchased this to replace a similar but discontinued brand. This one is lighter and has a richer taste.

Good but not a MudWtr substitute really
This is a great product but it's not really a true substitute for MudWtr. It does have turmeric but there is no cinnamon or other spice, so the chocolate flavor is more dominant than in the other product. It also doesn't have as many different kinds of mushrooms in it.That being said, I add more tumeric and cinnamon to get the flavor closer because I can't afford the other stuff right now.If you are just buying this for what it is and not comparing it to the much more expensive product, go for it! It's got a great taste and you get your 'shroom fix!

LOVE LOVE LOVE
This is our newest winter staple! We drink with milk (wouldn't recommend water, tastes blah) and monk fruit! It's fantastic and tastes just like other hot chocolate brands without the stomach ache after. Love that there is good quality ingredients in it.

Turns out, I love this stuff. Who knew?
I'm well over 60. That I'm not a coffee drinker has been a source of beverage frustration for years. And caffeine is not my friend. I'm also a bit of a sucker for multifunctional bevs. Cocotropic seemed like a worthy try. And...I actually like it. And...I felt more energy after a few days of 1mug/day. It hasn't bothered by digestive system (I'm old) and --honestly-- I feel more focused. Plus, I have that energ/focus without the shakes! The taste was a small hurdle but I added 1 tsp hot chocolate mix. I'm more than used to it now. Now it's my comfort drink, as well as my day-starter.

Great taste, very affordable!
I was very excited when my Cocotropic arrived as it is my first product from Wild Foods Co, although I'm not a big fan of the new plastic foil/mylar bag as mine was a tad difficult to get open. But once I did, I was greeted with a very sweet chocolate smell, enticing me to indulge immediately. So I held firm and somehow waited another day to try it with my morning coffee.Adding 1TBSP of Cocotropic to my morning coffee and adding a few TSP of coconut oil for absorption, made for an excellent morning that day. As I mentioned before, it smells amazing. The powder, to me, smells like opening a bag of indulgent dark chocolate and once prepared, I find that it gave my coffee a very dark chocolate-y taste. This formula really is very similar to hot chocolate! The earthiness from the mushrooms and other ingredients mesh well with the raw cacao. It may just be me, but I did find the powder did not fully mix into my coffee any time I used it, so there was always a little grittiness to it and the end of each cup had sediment in it from the powder that was not mixed. Not a big deal, I expected that to happen. The reported effects of Cocotropic, for me, were very noticeable. I've used mushroom powders in the past and understood that I'd be on the receiving end of a delicious cup of coffee that basically gave me Provigil-like focus. Once my mushrooms kick in at work, it's VERY hard to pull me off task or get distracted, I literally plow through my work much more quickly. For me, the effects of the powder are so noticeable I can easily distinguish between my mental acuity ON and OFF the powder. I know it sounds hyperbolic when I say it but I feel as if I have laser-like focus about 20 minutes after having some of my Cocotropic coffee. Plus, I get that delicious chocolate smell and taste! Now, why a 3 star review for something I like? Well, it's really 3.5 stars for me, for two important reasons. I found that the week I used Cocotropic (and no other nootropics or my other mushroom powders), I was more jittery, all day, even well into the evening more 6+ hours after drinking my coffee. I made my coffee the same way each day: few OZ of coffee, 2 TSP of NOW Foods MCT Oil, and 1 TBSP of Cocotropic. I will try it with 1/2 TBSP to see if the effects are the same. The second reason I took off a star was that while Cocotropic includes turmeric(although, I do not know exactly HOW much is in each scoop) because curcumin is excellent for your body! However, without Bioperine/black pepper extract, the turmeric will not have the same absorption rates into your body, therefore decreasing its efficacy. The inclusion of Bioperine would increase the absorption of curcumin by up to 85%; I've found the most effective/affordable ratio is 100:1 curcumin to black pepper as very little black pepper is needed for the curcumin. However, synergistically, the addition of Bioperine also increases the absorption rates of all the other included herbs. Perhaps a future formula from Wild Foods Co will include Bioperine!Even though I only give Cocotropic 3 stars, it's not because I do not like the product -- I really do! -- or I will never use it again, I just cannot take a full serving because of how jittery it makes me, and the lack of Bioperine is a surprising choice by Wild Foods given that all of their products seem so well-researched and formulated to be as effective as possible. I am going to cut back to 1/2TBSP/serving and go from there.

Liked it then strayed and now think it's #1
I initially ordered this to cut back on my excessive espresso habit (which actually increased by intraocular pressure, cut back to one shot a day and pressure dropped to normal over a few months.) I also love chocolate and thought this could satisfy that urge while lowering caffeine intake. I drifted back to my old ways, then took an introductory order on a more hyped/expensive brand of a similar mushroom/cocoa/tumeric product. It was good but I still had an unopened bag of cocotropic and I did the comparison test. I liked that the expensive one had more tumeric, but thought cocotropic tasted better at half the price and that I can always add more tumeric to it when I want to. Glad I have this a second try.
