A great introduction to Matcha
I am just starting out buying matcha to have a home and this was a great tester product to go with. I did some research before buying and this brand was one that came up. Other great things about the product: - good taste and texture, not too grassy - easily mixes into a drink or yoghurt as it's a fine powder, keeping the drink and yogurt smooth and not lumpy - resealable packet - only need 1tsp at a time - I really felt the benefits of boosted energy and a clearer, calmer mindset when having this in the morning What could be better: - 30g only lasted about 2 weeks - can be an expensive purchase for something you might want to have every day I would recommend this as a great starting point of getting into matcha as I think it tastes great and I could notice the benefits, but I is a little expensive if having 1tsp every day.

Addictive
Very smooth, creamy and sweet. Bright green, perfect for my vanilla lattes. I have a matcha every single day. I love this matcha and would choose this over Naoki’s other ones any day!

Bitter and Grainy, Suitable only for matcha beginners
Good beginner matcha, however, compared to other matcha powders you can get at a similar price, it is quite grainy and astringent. It has a nice colour and is best suited to baking. I tasted this graininess and bitterness even when making a matcha latte with milk, so it's necessary to add a sweetener for a good taste.

I have ordered this matcha 3 times already and so far I enjoy it! The matcha is green and smells nice as I whisk it. This Yame blend is on the medium bodied side and easy to drink with very little bitterness to it. For the price point and how easily accessible it is, I will keep coming back for more!

Naoki’s Fragrant Yame Blend is hands-down one of the best matcha powders I’ve tried. As soon as you open the pouch, you're greeted by a fresh, grassy aroma with subtle sweet undertones—it’s clear this is a high-quality ceremonial-grade matcha. The flavor is smooth, slightly umami with no bitterness, and it froths up beautifully for lattes or traditional whisked matcha. I love using it for my morning ritual—pairs perfectly with oat milk or just hot water. It’s not the cheapest option out there, but the quality justifies the price. If you care about taste, texture, and authenticity, this is worth every cent. ✅ Pros: Rich, smooth flavor with zero bitterness Vibrant green color and fine texture Easy to whisk and froth Comes from a reputable, single-origin source ❌ Cons: Slightly pricier than culinary blends (but worth it for quality)

Very pleasant taste. Vibrant color, non bitter matcha, blends well with oatmilk to create an awesome matcha latte. I’ve tried a few different brands in recently and this is by far my favorite! No clump or lump, didn’t need to sift with a strainer which saves on time.

This matcha is very smooth, in both flavor and texture. There is basically no bitterness or astringency to found, it sifts very easily, and wisks into the water wonderfully, creating a nice silky liquid. The one thing I noted when drinking it thin (Usucha was the lack of depth in flavor. There was some sweetness, naturally from the tea leaves, but no hint of umami, no nutty flavor, the vegetal flavor was also very light. It was very weak tasting, almost watery. I did try this as a thicker tea, not quite Koicha, but close. It was still not bitter, so that was good, the natural sweetness increased, as did the vegetal flavor, like that of fresh pea pods. This matcha does not have the savory umami flavors that some others have, which can be a good thing. Depending on my mood, I actually prefer the sweetness of this. But, being so weak is what prevents me from fully loving it. Having to use double the matcha to achieve the any richness of flavor means I'm spending twice the amount for this matcha in the end.
