Classic storytelling for a classic hero
This is a great read and a great place to start if you're interested in the character. We're introduced to the character through an adventure for the Fantastic Four, written and drawn by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. After which, Don McGregor and Billy Graham work together to make a story as vivid as the art. The main story is about T'Challa trying to save his country and his people from Killmonger, after returning from fighting alongside The Avengers. The story takes him leads him stranded in the mountains of Wakanda, where he has to fight his way back and save his people. After this story he goes to America with his girlfriend. This section of the book is good, but it isn't as good as the beginning and middle of this collection. I think it's worth say that you keep in mind it's nothing like the movie and it's from the late 60's and early 70's.

Marvel's Best!
I had always considered this the best series Marvel ever produced, and taking another look at it 45 years later, just reaffirmed that opinion. Marvel's very best!

Good intro into the character
As with any gold and silver age books there are some good stories and some really boring. This book will want you dive deeper into Black Panther

Full color versions of the first Black Panther appearances!
I love how these are coming out in full color now. Great collection for this price point, I wish they had an omnibus or something with higher quality pages but I’m happy that these are full color and not black and white like the old Epic collections!

Mixed Bag of Gifts
The first part of the book deals with his origin with The Fantastic Four. Then the Killamonger saga begins. The character is a good Villain. He's Vicious, cruel ad petty all at the same time. The natives of Wakanda are made superstitious and afraid of technology. The other thing that bothers me is that the writer is stereotyping them. While Vodoo is a religion in Africa. Wakandians follow the Panther God. I know it's a product of it's time. Also the last part of this book is shameful. The writer should have gone full Klan or made it someone using the Klans tactics to further them goals. Nuff Said.

A very good looking book.
I have only read two chapters of the originals contained in this book. The stories have a very 1970's feel with the long exposition and big speeches by the characters. It is so dense it took my 3-4 long sittings to get through it.The art and color are beautifully presented on very good quality paper.

Bit pricey but good for a rare collection
Very nice book, my kids loved it. Bit pricey but I think it’s a rare collection of Black Panther comics, so the price is justified. Prompt delivery by Amazon and product arrived in great condition
