As they would switch positions, the leash I was holding twisted round and round since it's "fixed" to the central ring instead of clipped in via a swivel. The leash the human holds feels too flimsy, particularly after it is twisted half a dozen times. The other features, like the hand grip on each sub-leash seemed good. To be able to use this, I need to try to rig up some of these components with others and I just haven't done that yet. After one use, the setup is sitting unused. This might work well for dogs who literally will walk side by side and not try to get ahead of one another or switch positions left-right. I gave it 3 stars because the product is not misrepresented and the pictures are clear. I just couldn't mentally picture how it would work for me (or not) until I tried it. Other purchasers might well be very happy with the setup as it is.

This is a very nice way to walk three dogs. The nylon is good and heavy as are the snaps. I would give this five stars except for one thing: the ring the three short leads snap onto is NOT welded closed. It is only pressed into a circle. On the third use with my three dogs (115 lb Great Pyrenes, 95 lb Golden Retriever, and a 60 lb Golden Retriever puppy) the ring pulled open enough to allow the snaps to slide out. I barely kept my puppy out of the street. I have salvaged the leash by using a heavy duty carabiner but you shouldn't have to "McGyver" something you just started using. If the manufacturer's desire to save some pennies had cost me my wife's puppy we would be furious. Spend a couple cents and buy a welded ring people.

Okay, I have had this leash for a week. I have two Australian Shepherds (one 70, one 55 lbs), and one 50 lb Siberian Husky mix. The round center ring that all three leashes attach to is now opening up, enough for the main leash for my arm to slide out of it. This could have been a catastrophe. The description more than claims this should handle three dogs over these sizes. Obviously they need to test with actual dogs or put it on a machine that will pull at 2 1/2 times what they claim it can handle. Of course, being I only had it a week, I looked to return it, and hitting the return button states "no return" even though it's not over 30 days. It's just sad that not only are we back to a time where we can't trust product claims, but we can't get a return on purchases either.

I bought this leash because I have 3 dogs that I take hiking every morning. I've used this leash for 8 months. I always use products a while before writing a review so I can give an honest overview of how it stands up over time. The leashes are great. They are sturdy but when I have 3 dogs on the lead, I spend my entire time untangling them. It works great with just 2 dogs. They never get tangled but when I add a 3rd dog to it, let's just say it's a big mess to untangle. I walk only 2 dogs on it and use a single leash for the 3rd dog. I like the leashes. My biggest complaint is it being advertised for 3 dogs when it doesn't work. My next complaint is the metal ring that the leashes attach to is not welded together and bigger dogs can pull it apart. I have a border collie, great Pyrenees, and a hound mix. The great pyrenees can pull the ring apart. I now walk her on a separate leash and let the other 2 walk on this one. The leashes have held up very well over the past 8 months. The ring needs to be welded closed and it needs to be advertised for 2 dogs instead of 3.

This leash is such a tangled mess. While it is well made and heavy duty unless you have three dogs that will walk side by side with no potty breaks this is more of a mess than it's worth. I tried walking all three of my dogs on it and ended up giving up after about 15 minutes. Every time a stop was made I had to unclip to untangle the dogs. I even tried again with just two dogs and it was still a tangled mess after a few minutes. I only kept this since the individual ends are very heavy duty and have the traffic handle so good if I take one dog into a busy event.

Incredibly bummed by this product. I used it last night to run my 70 pound shepherd mix and was happy with the product. It felt much better on my back, I liked the bungee cord that softened some of his incessant pulling, and overall it was way better than the slip knot leash around my waist I was using; however, I just used the leash again today for a walk with my two dogs. I bought the double leash swivel extender with bungee from the same company and hooked it to the waist-back-support leash. Right at the beginning of the walk my dogs pulled and the plastic adjustable buckle on one side snapped off rendering the part that clips around the waist almost useless.The leash loosened way up without the buckle and then was stabbing into me. I would have to remove that entire plastic buckle and possibly sew the one side to make this continue to work. I wish the company had used metal clips for the adjusters as two uses to have it break is a bummer.
