I did not get to finish this review. Computer glitch. So I did another, but I'd like to repeat that I'm using this oven more than my convection oven, which I also like and it's still useful, but with this Halogen oven I can see what's happening and simply lift the lid to turn things. My convection gets dirty and it takes time to clean it but you don't even have to thoroughly clean this one; just don't leave it wet. Wipe it out then give it a good cleaning every now and then. Needs a little experimenting, but it roasts things very nicely, straight from the freezer. Time saver, etc.

I got a Super Wave Halogen oven for Christmas and absolutely love it. I have cooked different meats in it and everything turned out well. This book takes you beyond cooking a roast or a chicken and gives lots of good ideas for meals. The oven turns out the juiciest meats and doesn't heat up the kitchen, which, since I live in Georgia, will be great in the hot days of summer.

I thought I'd use this every single day and waited for it to get to a decent price but I only use it maybe once a month. Its very heavy and a real bummer to clean. That really bright light that comes on makes me wonder how fast my electric meter is running. And I was expecting to cook frozen chicken wings in no time at all. Well, 30 minutes on this side and then flip and cook another 20 or 30 and I still have to put them in the toaster oven to broil them.

Very well laid out. A picture of the dish is on one page and recipe on the next. Ingredients are easy to come by, but every recipe seems to have " another way " option or "now try this" suggestions. I was amazed to find a recipe for popping corn in your halogen oven. Something I would not have considered. The options for popped corn other than plain are: sweet maple sauce, a herb topping, spicy topping, popcorn-marshmallow bar, Poppy Road, and colored popcorn. (Not microwave popcorn, so no salt or oil necessary). Enough recipes to make a full course meal with snacks and desserts. Breakfast dishes are included. The authors have included a nice chapter explaining the uses and advantages of the halogen oven. The more I use mine, I find other small appliances that will be going to new homes.

When I received my halogen oven there was not a lot of instructions, just basic. I purchased this book and it gave me a better idea on the times and temperture, plus recipes. Also tips on using the halogen oven, like what rack to cook on, top or bottom, when to use the crisper pan. I put non- stick foil on the crisper pan when in use and I use the crisper pan to catch the juice when cooking on just the racks, less clean up. When cooking frozen foods spray with cooking spray then season food, this will allow seasoning to stick to food, also turn your food over during cooking process, this is just like an oven, just shorter cooking time. Once you've had an "Halogen Oven" you can't be without it.

This is the best cook book to use with your halogen oven. Every recipe includes a picture and instructions on where to put the rings, temperature, time, etc. The recipes are very easy to follow and I have made several recipes from this book. This morning I made Thai fish cakes and instead of using the fish that the recipe called for I used imitation crab meat and the fish cakes are delicious. Making French fries is a snap following the directions, and using this same recipe I have also made French fried sweet potatoes. I am very, very happy with this book and would recommend it to anyone who has a halogen oven.

This book is well written and contains recipes I will actually use. There are many, as expected, I will never get involved in but there are enough everyday kind of meals I will be using the book a lot. This is also a good text book for using the halogen oven. I'm glad the book came before my oven did as I had a day to read up and be prepared.
