works good for emergency use. Why is it so loud? almost requires ear protection.

Quality of items
This item is made in China so be prepared to use lots of gas pipe thread tape to add new fittings if needed. It was rated noisy, so I mounted it on a wood 2x12" with live rubber added to the mounting plate and used neoprene washer on the bolts hoping this would help a little with noise. It still sounds like it is about to blow up, but it works and pumps strong so be careful if you are wanting to fill up a small can of fuel. It is easy to use and is a lot faster than a barrel pump.

This is a nice pump and would be useful to anyone for multiple jobs.
I own a heating and power fuel business and it works great for pumping out diesel or fuel oil tanks

stopped working
I bought this to pump DEF out of a 55 gallon drum. First … the hose hook up is opposite of the pictures. Second… the pump stopped working the second time I tried to use it. I returned it for a refund. I bought a cheap hand pump to replace it.
