Love Birkinstocks .... own several pairs, so thought I'd try this pair of Birkenstock covered shoes, for the fall.The outside sideview of the shoe, looks like a classic Berkinstock, but the fit and comfort is another story.I had read the negative reviews, so I should have known better!The two back sides of the shoes, are too high, so they rub both ankle bones. This is not an issue if the back is pushed down, to wear the shoes as "mules". Not what I wanted with these shoes.Also, the toe box, in the "regular width", is way too wide! This is supposed to give more comfort, but it's overdone, so the front of a normal size foot, feels floaty instead of being comfortably held.Finally, the extra wide toe box makes the shoes look clunky!These Birkenstock Callans are returning to amazon.

I own many pairs of Birkenstock in different styles. I thought I found the perfect slip-on in these. Unfortunately they are disproportionally too large in odd places, and somehow look even clunkier than other Birks. Sadly, I had to return.

The shoe is the right size but for some reason I literally cannot get my foot into it!! One time I managed to get my left foot in after 15 minutes of struggling and it fit perfectly once in, so I’m not sure why it’s so hard to get my foot in in the first place.

Fun, comfy shoes that will become my "go to option" every day.

Love this shoe! Comfortable right out of the box. I wear Birkenstocks regularly.

Loved the style and color (grey taupe), but while I have three or four pairs and normally wear a narrow in Birkenstocks (in other shoes I'm between a regular and wide)--this style was way too narrow for my somewhat wide foot and the instep was too tight for me. Maybe they will stretch out, as they are suede and seem pretty soft, but for the price, i'm not sure I want to keep them and have my feet hurt in hopes that they might one day become comfortable. Too bad and rather strange that they ONLY come in narrow.
