McQ, a.k.a. "MacCube", is a distinctive and unique design inspired by Rubik's Cube. What you get are two machined cubes made of aerospace grade aluminum alloy, solid in weight, together ready to hold either your MacBook, iPad or iPhone or any notebook, tablet with suitable sizes. The cubes are totally independent of each other, so you can place them in distance to fit large device like MacBook/iPad Pro or small device like iPhone SE. The stand comes with choice of two beautiful anodized colors (gray & gunmetal) with sand-blasted finishing. It is ideal for office or dormitory where space is limited, or for home use. e.g., for kitchen/dining table when viewing recipes/videos while cooking, or for charging your phone on a nightstand. The elegant design goes with your office/home setting whether it is modern or classic. It is an ideal gift for yourself, your family or your client.

Adequate for Dell Precision 5510, as long as you have a USB-C dock station
Works pretty well with my work laptop, a Dell Precision 5510. I haven't been able to find any kind of vertical stand that wasn't specifically for a Mac laptop (an untapped market IMO), so this is probably as good as I'm going to get. There is padding on the interior of the slots, so its not likely to scruff the finish on your machine (unless its tilting too much to miss the pad as they don't go all the way to the edge, but it would be unstable at such an angle anyway). My only complaint is that the cubes have identical orientation. If they were opposites, it would fit my Dell better. It currently works in the #2 slot, but as you can see it doesn't go all the way down because of the bar-style feet of the laptop, and the power port is obscured. I have a company provided USB-C docking station, which is the single cable you see in the photo. You *can* make it sit all the way at the bottom, but since the cubes have the same orientation, you can't put the open side on the bottom of the laptop to accommodate the feet well (it tilts in one cube but not the other), you can only fit the open side of one and the closed side of the other. If its sitting all the way to the bottom, the power port is available but the USB and HDMI ports on that side won't have enough room for cable clearance since they are very close to each other to begin with. This is why it isn't 5 stars, I feel it would be a superior product in general if they were oriented opposite each other. At home, I tested it with both my 2012 MBP (slot #3), and my wife's Macbook Air 13", and both fit fine in their respective slots, although the Air was a bit loose in slot #2.I may be taking it home as we have a wide variety of devices there that it could be used for ad-hoc purposes (the previously mentioned Macs, an Amazon Fire tablet, 2x iPhones), but I would still keep this stand even though it doesn't quite fit the way I want, its too universally adequate to let go.

I wish that it fit a little more snug
This product will fit a multiple of size laptops. You just have to flip them around until you find the right fit for you. Other reviews mention that the two cubes are identical they are meant you be setup opposite of each other. The sides of the cubes have dots on them so you can match the size. The only thing that would make these cubes better is if they came with stick-on rubber grips for the bottom of the cubes so that they won't slide on your desk.

Very nicely made product with premium feel to it.
I've been looking for a nice notebook stand for my Dell XP13 and iPad for a while now and I am glad I bought these. Both cubes have nice weight to it to hold heavier notebooks without any issues. The slots are nicely cut and smooth. Each slot has interior padding to prevent scratches which is a major plus! I use the cubes on my desk and sometimes at the kitchen counter when I cook. Portable and convenient. One of the better accessory I've purchased this year!

Not good. the two blocks are independent so they slide around on my desk and I always have to adjust them before putting the compute in them. I don't think it's a good design and don't recommend. There are much better stands available on Amazon

Great design, good product, solid built
I received a set of the McQ for evaluation. First impression is they are built solid. They are made of anodized aluminum block with smooth cutout and soft padding. After I played with them for a few minutes, I found them quite useful and well thought.Pros:+ Solid built+ Fits all sizes of iPhones, iPads, Androids phones, Kindles and etc.+ Will not block or distract the screen+ Holds the device at a slightly tilted angle for easy viewing+ Enough space between slots to plug-in the charging cable+ Cool design, people like to stop by and play with them (look like an interlocking puzzle toy)Cons:- Heavy 2-piece units that are not meant to carry around- Pricey
