Good rim protectors, a bit thick.
These work pretty well, they didn't tear or take damage changing my first couple tires with them. They stay on the rim OK, and they work for protecting the rims. They'd get 5 stars if they weren't so thick. The thickness makes it more difficult to lever to tire over the rim, so these make you use a little more force in stretching the tire over the rim. Maybe not a big deal for larger tires, or looser fitting ones, but it makes smaller scooter tires pretty tough.I did like them better than my strips of plastic bottle, but certainly not perfect.

They Didn't Survive 2 Tires
I used these to change tires on a Honda VTX 1300R. They didn't survive. They were all tore up at the end. Granted, these are big stiff tires. You may have better luck with smaller tires. I used them in conjunction with "Motion Pro 08-0536 BeadPro Forged Steel Tire Bead Breaker and Lever Tool Set" also bought on Amazon. The tire irons were great. The "protectors", no so much :-(

Sticking with leather, plastic cuts too easily. Great costumer service despite that.
They worked but definitely took a beating taking a 20+ year old Cheng Shin off an aluminum rim. I don't think they're reusable after using twice, the irons chewed right into them. They cut so easily that bare aluminum was showing after the first wrench. The strings attached pull through the plastic, too. I'm going to go with leather from now on.UPDATE: After a quick email reply to BigPantha, they refunded my purchase cost. Adding a star for their hassle-free customer service. If you're not trying to pull off 20 year old tires, these will probably be okay for you.

Only got one install
I randomly write reviews but this one I felt may help people or inform me as to maybe I did something wrong, I purchased these rim protectors to do just that and while installing an intermediate/hard 19” rear tire I found that I only got two uses with nice non pointed spoons, the material they use in my opinion is to soft and the spoons cut right through them especially as I neared the end of each tire bead pry (that last 10” of the second bead). I will say that they did as they claim and protected my rim from scratching, however I was hoping for more then a single use application.

Would highly recommend - Very well made and resilient!
This is my second set of rim protectors and I have to say the set I purchase from BigPantha are far better than my previous set I purchased from another major manufacture which split/cut during the first use. The BigPantha Rim Protectors are holding up very well after two sets of tires under the stress of tire irons on stiff sidewall ADV tires. Also the free storage bag is a nice touch! Would highly recommend and buy again.

The bag they come in is pretty convienient. makes it easy to keep them together
they did the job, however i am not sure how many rims they will protect if they continue to fall apart and get all beat up. the rim edge cut the protectors and they might be able to do 1-2 more before they find themselves in the trash and i guess ill order another set. The bag they come in is pretty convienient. makes it easy to keep them together.

Falls apart during first use like other reviews.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Shreaded during first use. Anyone who has spooned tires on kmows you can't always tell if it's busted through, well gotta say my rims are married up a bit now. I've changed them 6 or 7 times. My motionpro protectors never had a problem, shame they we're borrowed and never made it back.

Pretty much like the others...
These are ok if you're not prying really heavily on but then what's the use? I just use the zip tie method and avoid these.
