This took a few hours to put together and I am very "handy". It is not particularly difficult just extremely time consuming. You really need to make sure you are doing each step correctly or the whole thing could be off. The most difficult part was the fireplace. I happened to have a drill bit extension but if you don't, drilling those screws in is awful. It still was even with a drill. The wood glue they provide does not work and the wood inserts do not fit snug, so I recommend buying your own wood glue to ensure the cabinet fits together tightly. The locking nuts were all metal which I liked (Ikea uses plastic) so the fit was tighter with this. My biggest negatives are the following- the top does not fit securely if you want to move it by holding the top, so you have to move it by lifting it from the bottom. The wood on the doors and a couple corners came nicked or with blemishes and the doors are pretty difficult to get without a large gap on one side or the other. The shelves are too small for most equipment but I don't have a cable box so it doesn't bother me. Outside of that, it is my favorite piece of furniture by far and everyone loves it. The heater works great, the light is nice but more of a novelty, definitely does not look real.

Took me forever to find a fireplace TV stand on Amazon because there’s so much to choose from. This one was very cheap. I don’t know if it was hard to put together because my best friend and my son put it together but it looked easy from a distance. I was in the other room minding my own business pretending to be busy so I would not have to put it together. But they did it with the directions so I’m assuming you could do it too. My son is only 14 years old. It took about two hours. The fireplace is amazing. Absolutely gorgeous!!!!! It is an actual TV stand fireplace. The fireplace isn’t the most realistic fireplace ever. But it is very very very good and it gives hear! It gives strong heat. So you get a heater a TV stand and a fireplace. Please this is an awesome product!

Yes, it came with an excessive amount of Styrofoam, but i'd rather it be too protected than not enough and it be delivered with damage. Yes, it was a little difficult to assemble. I put it together myself in about 2-3 hours, but good directions. holes missing when attempting to place the fireplace, and small space to fit hand and screw driver so would need a magnetic and about a 3-4 inch long drill bit to place the holes. I ended up skipping this step and just placing the braces to hold the fireplace in position. no trouble with the doors - took extra time to aligned them perfectly. had extra hardware which is always nice. looks great assembled. i recommend.

I was looking other TV stands at and more than twice the superfriday sale of $250. I almost bought one at $650, then found this. I bought it because 1). I wanted thin. this is 16" thin. 2). I wanted a nice flame with separate flame and heater controls. 3). medium height. What I did not get but wanted was a remote control. Not going to pay $400 for that! I doesn't have a timer either. oh well. It arrived on my doorstep. The packaging is puzzle-genius, so is very dense. So 2 people to huck it inside. It was easy to unpack and cart the pieces one by one to the assembly site. It assembled 90% within 3 hours or so. Decent instructions. No missing parts. When it came to screwing in the firebox is where it got reaaalllly frustrating, as they did not pre-drill the holes, and the 2" wide 7" deep gap made it impossible to get fingers and a screwdriver in there to tighten it. Impossible! So I had to get a long drill, then a long skinny magnetized screwdriver to slip it in. 25 times. That added an hour to what should have been 5 minutes if they designed a better tightening strategy, which is why I give it a 4 and not a 5. Definitely put that back cardboard on and tack it down. It ads substantial side-to-side stability. Result is I am really happy with it, it looks nice, it warms my 500 sq ft space nicely within an hour or so. It's got a gentle fan/hum, so it's not loud. The fire acts as a nightlight. It's heavy, but it's 58" long and so you want some heft to it. I pluck my 175lb butt down on this thing with no structural problem at all. So I think it's appropriate weight. I would buy this again, now that I know the assembly trick.

It came so fast! I ordered it on a Friday it was here Tuesday (Monday was a holiday) it’s so pretty. I’m NOT a handy person at ALL and I put it together myself because I was eager to have it done. (even tho it took me three days because I kept doing it little by little every night before bed). I did use a power drill. I couldn’t imagine anyone screwing each nail in. if you don’t know what you’re doing I don’t suggest using it though. I drilled really soft so it didn’t break the wood. My daughter is 4 and it comes to her chest. It’s not tall and bulky at all. And for the price you CANT beat it. Thinking about getting this? DO IT.

Amazing product for the price. The heater works very well. I have a 55 inch tv on it and there’s about 3 inches of space on either side of the TV. The assembly was very easy. I suggest getting someone to help you, if not it would take one person along time. Good thing is, you don’t have to be a handyman to put this stand together!

Definitely would be faster if you have two people mount it together. May take a little long, but still doable for a single person. At the end Happy with the end product. Fits perfect. Just imagine. Make sure to take your time building it. Sturdy. Material finishing looks well. And heater works well to warm up quickly.

It was hell to put together! But upon completion the screws that came with it to put it together do not hold and will not stay in the holes They keep falling out making it unstable and not sturdy and unsafe for to set a television on! The clips that are supposed to hold the pieces of wood shelves will not stay in their hole. The shelf falls everytime you place it on the clips! I would advise anyone not to purchase this product! It's not worth the price! It's poorly designed and the wood is cheap and not any good. It takes hours to put together and it's not worth the time. Buyers beware shop elsewhere! I don't recommend buying this television stand. It's not worth the price it's a waste of time and your money. I give it 0 stars but I have to give it 1 to do the review. Amazon is doing bad business by selling these faulty products and should be held accountable!!!
