Very poor
I have finally given up my battle with this Bosch glue gun. I had high hopes since it has the backing of a usually good brand but I, and other crafters I’ve spoken to, have been bitterly disappointed with this product. For me, my experience traversed between really bad dripping and not heating up at all. Made a right mess of everything! I stupidly ditched my corded, unbranded blue gin in place of this one which was stupid of me.I’ve now bought a Dremel and crossing my fingers it lives up to its brand name! Please don’t waste your money. This is a terrible product and I’m surprised Bosch have backed it.

it’s not the bosch i know
despite those negative feedbacks i read in amazon, i still have confidence in this brand and i urgently need a new glue gun for my work, so i bought it without much deliberationi was surprised by the weight of this glue gun, it’s very light weight, feel like a plastic toy, even my bosch ixo screwdriver is a lot heavier than this gun, especially with it’s appearance, it almost look as same as the toy bosch combi drill i saw in supermarketactually its size is not as big as the picture shown in amazon, it fitted in my hand quite well and comfortable to use, pretty good ergonomic designthe heat up was super fast, it was almost ready to use instantly!however, here come the downsides, the glue stick feed was a nightmare, the trigger didn’t push the stick right forward to the nozzle properly, noticed that the glue stick keep being pushed back and forth inside the chamber and unable to make it proceed correctly, eventually i needed to push the glue stick with my other hand in order to help feeding the glue until the mechanism could grip it properlyalso, another big issue was the flow control, the amount of glue flow was not consistent, no matter how stable the force i put on the trigger, i had no way to make precise amount of glue on the target, sometimes too much, most of the time too little until i fully pressed the trigger and glue spill all oversome other issue not worth to mention in detail, they were, the well known dripping issue, the “automatic” inactivity shutdown, it still turned off the heat even i kept using it in whole 5 minutes!i am a big fan of bosch, so even this glue gun is double the price of a decent other brand cordless glue gun, i still want to add it to my bosch tools collection, however this time i couldn’t find a good reason to keep it

Handy but flawed
Being cordless, this is should be a really useful tool. However, it has a few flaws which make it more suitable for small craft projects rather than moderate diy jobs.Bringing the battery up to full charge on its initial charging takes hours. In reality, I left it to charge overnight and postponed my work accordingly. Disappointingly, that charge did not last long and the second charge again took over an hour. I then developed the habit of charging it during use but that meant plugging in a lead every time - far better if it could be put on a charger. The glue sticks are quite slim and during prolonged use, these get used up very quickly - you will need lots of spare glue sticks. The adhesive is good quality, grips well and sets quickly. When left on standby, the glue drips from the nozzle (genuine Bosch glue sticks) so be careful.Big problem is the amount of useable glue that is dispensed. Bosch instructions state any large items that need gluing should be done with ‘dabs’ rather than one long line. I found that you can only get 2” - 3” (50mm - 75mm) in a line before it runs out. You then have to wait for the glue to melt before doing the next section and that seems to produce slightly less glue. Using during prolonged diy projects is frustrating and I am looking for another glue gun more suitable to my needs. This can only be recommended for minor craft work.

Absolute flawless gluing
Had before a cheaper no-name hot glue and always had some issues with glue sticking too much to the nozzle, with this one from Bosch, I can say this is not a problem anymore. We used it so far quite a bit and had 0 issues with clogged up nozzles or glue not coming out and it really works well.It is slightly more expensive than unbranded ones, but this seems also to make a difference in quality, as it really works well. The battery also lasts quite a long time and charging is done in about 2 to 3 hours. All in all a very good hot glue Gun and that it is cordless makes working even more easier.

Another disappointing Bosch product
Where should i start..?When i opened the box i already felt the cheap quality. It feels like a 2-euro profuct. Bad touch, really lightweight (it can be pro but for me it is the sign of a crappy product), sharp edges. This battery thing was promising, but once i realized it is NOT detachable, and lasts for approx 15 minutes after 2 hrs of charging.... a big NO. never again. Not working while charging, so you cant use it as a wired one.I bought genuie bosch glue sticks for it (it came with 3 rod only), but the feeding mechanism sucks. Its bleeding and the 'trigger' actually does nothing. Almost a whole rod disappearing in the pistol, and after few cms you cant use it, since the barely-working-feeding mechanism is at the end of it. So you have to add another stick. BUT, it will fall out!! Wow. Who is responsible for this product design?really.... do NOT buy it
