This book was great! It gave me a great understanding of what mindfulness really is and how it can be used. This kind of information should really be teached at school to get the public more aware from a young age since it can change their life truly. There are some great tips and techniques in this book that get you off to an easy start. Can't do anything else then recommend this book!

Short book, yet it is helpful. Enjoyed this book.
This is on my opinion, a helpful book. While I did find it very, very basic, I found it meaningful to me.My favorite chapter is Chapter 5 A More Formal Approach...this has information about meditation sensory perception, bodily sensations, emotions, Yoga and more. This is a wonderful chapter.Overall a short and sweet ...Pretty good read.

Very nicely written but too short
Very nicely written but too short. In fact only 62% of the book is the actual book purchased: the rest is a preview of the author's Zen book (useless because one can download a sample) and blurbs for two other books by the author. Left me hanging, happy for the little I read but displeased for how little it was.

Not for beginners
I'm a beginner who is looking into meditation in hopes that it will help with horrible migraines. This book has more technical information than I needed. I don't need studies. I need instructions. How about suggestions of items that may be help in my pursuit to learn this.

This was a quick and easy read. I consider myself an intermediate when it comes to practising mindfulness. Thus, it was refreshing when my currently held beliefs were reinforced in this book. I am more confident that I am on the right path to achieving a higher level of mastery.
