More suction power than any other upright vacuum cleaner brand*. This Shark upright vacuum is packed with innovative technologies to help make cleaning easier than ever, all with a sleek design that looks great in any home. FOR ALL FLOORS: Discover Shark’s signature DuoClean floorhead, now enhanced with Anti Hair Wrap. DuoClean glides from carpets to hard floors. Two motorised brush-rolls work together – a bristle brush-roll cleans deep into carpets, drawing out embedded dirt, while a soft front brush-roll pulls in large and small debris and lifts stuck-on dust from hard floors. Anti Hair Wrap Technology actively separates and removes hair as you clean, helping to leave the bristle brush-roll tangle-free. Perfect for long, short and pet hair. POWERED LIFT-AWAY: Transform this powerful upright into a lightweight, portable vacuum cleaner at the touch of a button – simply lift the main unit away from the wand to clean stairs, soft furnishings, up high and underneath furniture. The brush-rolls continue rotating and drawing in dirt, even in portable mode – giving you a consistent clean underneath furniture. Signature LED headlights in the floorhead help to illuminate hidden dust. VERSATILE CLEANING: Easily vacuum sofas, crevices and surfaces with the included Crevice Tool and Multi-Surface Tool. Simply attach the wand in portable mode to easily reach ceilings, curtains and high up. Switch between 3 floor settings with convenient handle controls. Easily move between rooms with a long 8m power cord. ANTI-ALLERGEN VACUUM CLEANER: Anti-Allergen Complete Seal captures and traps 99.9%** of dust and allergens inside the vacuum, not releasing them back into the air you breathe. Compared to Dyson
As a long time Dyson fan I would have gone for a new Dyson but wanted a corded and they don't do them anymore. So after a lot of reading reviews I bought this to see how it compares.I tested this against my trusty Dyson DC07 by doing half the carpet with the Dyson and half with the Shark, then switching and seeing if either pulled out more dirt (after emptying the bins of course).Result was neither pulled out more dirt so I would say they both perform equally.Weight wise the DC07 is heavier to lift but lighter to push !The Shark is easier to negotiate being steerableThe light on the Shark is certainly useful to see the dirt in the darker places. The shark gets under furniture betterThe Dyson has a slightly wider collector at the front but I cant say a noticed it take longer to cover the same area with the SharkThe Shark is MUCH quieter (it doesn't scare our cat!)The Shark cleans hard floors better than the Dyson. The "lift away" complemented with the extra purchase of the stair turbo tool makes stairs much easierThe cord grip is annoying on the Shark. It doesn't hold it well and I find myself forever bending to pick the cable from the floor.Overall I think this is a good replacement for the Dyson and will be keeping it.

Hard to beat I reckon
So, this is my second Shark hoover after using Dysons for years. Before this purchase I revisited what I would consider the equivalent Dyson vacuum to this Shark and could not imagine paying £600 plus for an appliance. So, I bought the updated version of my old Shark and am very happy that I did.Firstly, every single element about this hoover feels like quality. It’s engineering at its best - both practical and very intuitive.Everything clicks into place beautifully, every design feature serves its purpose.Shark have literally thought of everything with this particular vacuum cleaner.Saying that isn’t enough though as if your a vacuum freak like me you want details right?: It has amazing suction in every single function including on hardwood floors through to shag pile carpets whilst using tools or as an upright.: My last Shark which was the older version of this kept the same suction throughout its life span (it only needed replaced as it was dropped down a flight of stairs).: The hose comes apart to use with tools in two places. The top section affords a shorter option, great for stairs.Removing the whole hose is great to get into those edges and tight spaces in a room without all the bending over.: Maintaining this hoover is super easy, everything comes apart seamlessly - whether to clean filters, to empty, clear blockages or to keep the rollers clear.: The Liftaway aspect is genius - using the tools as a hand held without the burden of the upright part of the vacuum saves so much heavy lifting.: The cord is long enough to clean even the largest of rooms without having to swap plug sockets.: The built in lights are amazing and automatically kick in when required.: The positioning of the switches are fantastic, practical and comfortable.: It is quite heavy, but it’s a heavy duty piece of kit so this is not a criticism unless you have to carry it around A LOT.It doesn’t feel heavy whilst in use - only to lift.If I had one piece of constructive criticism for Shark it would be this - I dislike the fact that the on board lights can’t be switched on whilst in any mode other than when using as an upright.I miss those lights when doing under furniture with the hose.Otherwise, I’m a major fan and would definitely recommend this hoover for anyone looking at top of the range vacuums.

How much dirt????
I have a Hetty Hoover, she's fantastic at most things but....she's bloomin cumbersome. So, I bought a Shark! Why didn't I think to buy one before I don't know.It arrived in a box. Open it up to find the Shark box, which has no plastic packaging inside (love this idea). Really simple instructions to put together. Now, I had already Hoovered our rug. I have long hair and the cat, well she's a dirt bag so there's fluff everywhere! So I thought it was all clean, how wrong was I. Three settings take you from hard floor to thick carpet/rug. Turned it on and ran it over the rug, so much easier to use than the Hetty, it glided over. Some say it's heavy, well, it's not light but I didn't have any trouble with it all and I literally have no upper body strength haha After finishing the rug, I looked at the "dirt holder", oh my days, I was revolted and amazed at the same time. It was half full, which begs the question, what on earth has Hetty been doing all this time (lazy mare)? At that point I felt the need to do the rest of the house. Suction is fantastic, and my hair doesn't get tangled up. Using it on the stairs is simple too. I absolutely love this. Just to be clear, I haven't been paid to write this..I just really like it

I’m a Shark Convert!
Just used my new Shark for the first time. Whilst I feel a little sad to be so excited by a vacuum, I have to admit that I am ecstatic! It’s quiet, super efficient, super powerful, slick and really easy to use. For the first time in years, my carpet pile has been lifted, bringing instant gratification as the carpet really looks clean. I bought the pet hair attachment too (even though it no longer have pets) and the stair carpet looks amazing.I have hard wood, tiled and carpet floors. To switch between them is quick and effective. Love being able to detach the cylinder from the upright too - sooo much easier for doing the stairs.I’ve owned Dyson for the last 20+ years and none of them have ever been as efficient as my new Shark. Also I’m really impressed with the packaging. Not a piece of plastic in sight - everything is paper-based and fully recyclable.I’ve never bothered writing such a lengthy review before - I love it that much! Every household should have one!

Very Surprised!!
I’ve worked on Vacuums for quite a few years so I know what to look for, and what I like to see. I split this into 3 sections so you can glance at what’s important to you.LOOKS AND FEELIt feels robust, and I think it looks good. It feels solid with weight behind it, but not overly heavy. This will manoeuvre really well where you want it to go.I have hard floors and a really deep pile carpet. It it’s been good on all.SUCTION AND CLEANINGI’m used to the older big heavy Vacuums that suck like hell and beat the crap out of the carpet, until EU got involved and limited the power on all Vacuums. So for me the Vacuum has never been the same But… the Shark does very well in this department. Edge cleaning is good on hard floors and deep pile, the suction is good which I’m surprised at given the limited power.Deep pile carpets are the test for me. This does a good job and better than my previous Vac which broke after 4 weeks. The Shark lifts the pile and leaves it looking clean.Stairs with the hand held attachment. Just blown away that finally a manufacturer put some thought into this, and not just a cash cow to churn out crap. One click to lift of the Handle and one click to lift of the motor (and it’s not heavy!) and your ready for the stairs. I thing the air driven brush attachment is great and works really well. Good edge to edge.SUMMARYYes it’s more than I would usually spend but I can now see the benefits.Hard floor- GreatDeep Pile - GreatStairs - GreatI can add too much more as it’s straight out the box, but I get the feeling that if you clean your filters regularly, you may have this vacuum for a long timeThe only down side is that after 2 days I can’t get the Vac registered on the Shark website. Unfortunately the website is a nightmare
