Bought two copies
I bought this book years ago in paperback form and loved it so much I have also bought the digital version to make it easier to carry around we me. I’ve knit many stuffed animals over the years, but there is just something special about the old fashioned charm of these teddies that keeps me coming back to this book. My only complaint is that I normally prefer knitting in the round to cut down on seaming. There are quite a few pieces to stitch together on these. I think they’re worth it though.

Excellent Collection of Teddy Bear Patterns
I gave this book a 5 star rating. I am an experienced knitter and have collected patterns for teddy bears over the years. This book offers very clear description of steps for creation of each bear. There is a great pattern for beginning knitter and others for more experienced.. Good guidelines for assembly of each pattern. I will not use her suggestion for plastic shanks for allowing the limbs to be moveable. This would be fine for older collectors, but I knit for children, so I only use yarn and thread-no button eyes or plastic of any kind. A must have for anyone who enjoys the timeless joy of a handmade Teddy. P.S. I know it is expensive, but use the very best yarn you can afford. These patterns are heirlooms in the making.

Very fast to knit up
The bears in this book are adorable, the instructions fairly easy to understand and you could easily make your bear in a day or less, depending on how much you like seaming - I don't. The bears are constructed of many pieces (e.g. three pieces for the arm, three for the leg, etc) which is fine until assembling time comes. Then witness the scowl on my face! Also, I had to refer to the diagram and it wasn't clear enough about how to position one of the head pieces (the gusset I think that connects the sides to the top - see picture on cover) and so I had it back to front. I didn't realise it until I had seamed and stuffed the entire bear and then it was too late - Teddy looked like ET. Anyway, I didn't have the heart to unstitch Teddy and till today, he still looks like ET with his blue overalls. One other thing, the bears are small - most are around 13 cm or was it 15cm in height? I can't remember exactly but I just remember with some surprise how small they were. I increased the size of my needles in most cases. There is one large bear - around 30 cm in height.Anyway, it is a lovely book and these teddies make great gifts for both young and old alike.

Cute little toy ebook
Every single bear is knit in pieces and requires a lot of sewing, but there is a great section at the front that gives instruction for assembling these bears. The limbs are movable, which is likely the benefit of being knit in pieces. There is also a great section on creating faces on the bears. I only wish that there was a bit more variety between the bears. Altogether though, very cute.

Donation teddy bears. Just the thing!
Great book for those who are looking for teddy bear clothing. Knitting for a thrift shop and these outfits are very creative. Wish sometimes I had bigger knitting patterns though.

What lovely little bears!
I had never thought about knitting teddy bears until I read this book. They look a lot easier to make than I had expected! I know that I will be going to the craft store soon, and I plan on making some of the little bears this next week!

Total waste of money
Whoever wrote this book could obviously not add up. The patterns are full of errors, such as 15 + 4 = 17 !!! Also very lazy publication - very confusing mix and match of patterns. In all , as a very accomplished knitter, I would say that this pattern book is a total waste of money.

Hand knitted bear.
I know he is a bit wonky here and there but so cute! He, and 2 others were knitted for a raffle but didn't get that far. 1st and second went to daughter and granddaughter, this one I can't part with. Maybe 4th will be donated!

Superb
I was looking forward to receiving this book, and it gave me as much as I'd hoped. The patterns are so clear, pretty and irresistable, that I immediately found I was knitting not one, but three of the bears all at the same time. The book has given me plenty of ideas how to use these patterns flexibly for my family and to support a local charity. There's plenty of pleasure to be had knitting these chaps! Would certainly recommend time and time again. In fact - no, please do not buy this book - I don't want you all to find this little joy (just kidding, of course I'll share!)I've made both the Jack and Catherine bears in this book for a local charity. I made them in cotton chenille, adding a growler in Jack. They were very well received with much excitement. I've uploaded a photo of my version of the Jack bear which I understand will be available in the project gallery for this book or on my profile?

Very detailed, easy to follow patterns and more.....
I am thrilled with this pattern book on knitted Teddy Bears. The detail is informative, easy to follow and descriptive with so many handy tips in the beginning of the book. Every detail is in lay-mans terms. Another plus is the versatility of the patterns where I can put my own mark on my bears. I can't wait to get started with bits and bobs of yarn I have already. Just the perfect project when I'm travelling on our local ferry. Already I am planning presents for expected babies in the family.

Not for me
I am quite an experienced knitter but found the instructions for sowing up very very confusing, and the drawing diagrams which showed sow A to B were of no use as nowhere in the pattern did it tell you what was A and what was B. I gave up and the book is now in the next load going to the charity shop.
