****UPDATE ***** YF Direct sent me an email, apparently they DO send you TWO batteries but it only needs one - never received an extra battery for a product so that is a PLUS! I looked at it again and realized I placed the battery plus side down and it needs to face up. So after an embarrassingly long time trying to pry it out, I used an eyeglass screwdriver, it finally came out. I placed it in properly, turned it on and it works great! If you can't laugh at your self, then who can you laugh at... I chuckled ALOT! :)**************I have a problem inserting the batteries included. There were no directions and believe me... if you have this you understand. They are button batteries and you get two. However, when I tried to press the two in there with my finger .. one flew out and I have yet to find it. I had a weird thought they included an extra battery (ahahahahaha). Why? when I used the cover .. it fit on the thermometer okay with one battery. The way it is shaped, I'm not sure how Two were supposed to fit? This is the first time in my life I've had a bad time inserting batteries. LOL! I need to find the other battery and have another go. But the thermometer itself looks good.

This is great. I've needed a reliable meat thermometer for awhile but they all seemed to be what I had before until I saw this one. Easy to read, easy to use, easy to clean, and easy to store in it's little bubble wrap sleeve.
