Solid Coat, But Room for Improvement
I rencently purchased this for my 65 pound labrador retriever mix. Here are some comments:Durability/Material: It seems very durable. The material on the fleece is nice as is the waterproof outer layer. I also like the piping on the jacket is reflective for when nightly or early morning walks. The only thing that would make this even better is if it were made out of gortex so that it is windproof too.Ease of Use: It is very easy to put and take off takes seconds not minutes-. Adding or removing the fleece is super easy and there is velcro inside the outer shell to keep the fleece in place while wearing both layers.Fit/Size: I bought size 28 because my dog has what I think is a large barrel for her torso. It fits nicely in place, but is a tad big when wearing each layer separately. When both layers are being worn; it fits perfectly and snug but not too tight where it is uncomfortable for my dog. I also like that the 28 provides protection up to the tail yet there is no issue of it getting in the way when she does her business. I was hoping the underside would also cover a good portion of her exposed skin closest to her hind legs but it is wide open in that area. Not a deal breaker but it would be great if there was more material for the underbelly to keep protected from the elements.Functionality: I used the outer layer after it rained and her entire underbelly was dry. This was key for me because her underbelly normally gets wet, muddy/dirty after walking in the rain/snow.I would recommend the coat, but I am curious to know if a gortex coat that fully covers the underbelly is out there. I live in Chicago so it would be worth the extra money. I'd give this coat a B-

Almost Perfect
Very good product. We recently adopted a rescue terrier mix from the south. Her coat is too short and thin for our winters. Ended up going with this jacket because it offers three options: wind/rain jacket, fleece, combined. She likes the wind/warmth benefits. It needs one improvement however. The fleece lining snaps at the neck and tail but tucks inside of the chest and belly attachments. They can/do work out and the jacket hangs weird until you fix it. Male snaps on the insides of the chest/belly attachments mated to female snaps on the outer part of the fleece and the jacket would be a 6/5.RC, please think about re-engineering the jacket and maybe offer a DIY upgrade kit for existing jackets. I for one would pay $10 for it.03/13/17 UPDATE Saturday my wife stopped at Walmart and picked up a pack of velcro patches that attach with included glue. She paired the existing velcro on the fleece lining to their opposite counterparts and just glued the appropriate type of velcro to the inside of the two neck pouches and belly pouches on the jacket. $2.99. Now it's perfect.12/16/20 UPDATE Ultimately the Velcro just got gummed up with lint. Stopped using it. Upgraded to a Hurtta Summit Parka. See review...

Great idea
I love this idea - a doggy rain coat with a snap in/out fleece lining that can also be worn separately. I actually have a similar coat myself. The only reason I gave this a 4 star rating is that while beautifully made and the measurements given are accurate and she looks amazingly handsome in it, this doesn't quite fit my arthritic Lab-Golden mix. The neck to tail is spot on but my girl has a rather large chest and this is just a tad skimpy in this area; it just barely touches and one extra inch on that closure would've been perfect. I don't know why but this seems to be a problem with all of the items I try to get for my dog. I don't think she is weirdly made, I think it's just something that is wrong with the suppliers' measurements. As it is a hook and loop closure, I have added an extender for both the fleece and raincoat sections. But for this price I shouldn't have had to do that. I just wish that the people in this business would get their collective acts together and realize that a little extra is better than not enough.

Already braving the northeast winter well!
This has been a great buy for our dog, who is a pit bull mix with little to no undercoat, to help battle the coming northeastern winter. Even though she's only 45 lbs., I did order one size up (she measured for a 20 but I went with 22) and am glad I did. She has a broad chest and the extra few inches allows for a more snug fit around the neck and actually ends right around the base of her tail so she has complete coverage from the top. Bottom coverage is pretty good too, wraps securely around the rib cage and helps to keep her core insulated. The fit and finish are great, the fleece is medium weight and the exterior shell has been durable and is definitely water resistant as there has been no moisture getting through and I've already tested it in a quite a few decent rain storms. I don't have any issues with the velcro yet and am not sure when that might eventually happen, that too seems to be of high quality. All in all, I am extremely happy with this product and expect that it will certainly make through what appears is going to be a loooong winter.

Nice coat
So I will be reviewing this for my boy beagle and girl beagle. For my girl beagle, it's a perfect fit. Nice and snug and fits her very well. As for my boy beagle, it gets in the way of, well, his thingie. We have to make sure the jacket is pulled up a bit as not to block anything when he's trying to pee.The other reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the inner fleece lining doesn't always stay put. You attach it to the jacket with buttons that snap on at the top and botton, but the other piece that fits inside the sleeve had a tedency to come out on walks. You probably have to see what it is i"m talking about it. The fleece snaps in place and there's a place to put the rest of the fleece inside the sleeves that go on the bottom of the coat. Those slipped out from time to time. Otherwise, it really does a great job of keeping the dogs dry and warm.

Fantastic quality 3-in-1 dog coat!
I would highly recommend this dog coat. I've purchased the other sizes in the past when my dog was very young and was growing. Now that she's fully grown I purchased another one. It's fantastic to have a 3-in-1 coat. Used as a rain coat only, separately as a warm fleece, or all together as a winter coat. I purchased size 30 for my 6 year-old Vizsla. The smaller size didn't quite fit around her chest area so the velcro would peel apart when she sat or ran fast. Got the size up (30) and fits very well (a tad big, but covers all of her including her tail). Love this product!!

Sized smaller than other RC coats
I really like RC coats. They are extremely quick and easy to put on and off. The reason I gave this coat a low rating is because it is sized much smaller than other RC coats. I can squeeze either the liner or the overcoat on my large breed Kuvasz but not both at the same time. We donated it to a local rescue who will no doubt find a dog that it will fit perfectly on and will love it

I do love the way the coat looks
I do love the way the coat looks, feels and fits. I gave it only 4 stars because I have yet to see how the velcro will hold. I have had other coats from other brands where the velcro was a terrible quality and stopped working fast.

great product
Nice, well made and light weight. It was delivered a couple of days sooner than expected which was a nice surprise. Not the easiest to put the fleece and waterproof coats together (you need to slip the pieces together and make sure the Velcro lines up) but I don't often take them apart so no big deal.

Nice coat, completelly water proof
Nice coat, completelly water proof. You can remove the inner fleece lining and use as a rain coat in the summer, and keep the inner fleece lining to use in freezing rain or as a winter coat. Only thing I am not crazy about is the velcro. Everything sticks to it, including my leash!
