Must-have for DIYers
We DIYers love SharkBite because we can change our mind about PEX routing. This tool is perfect for that approach - so much easier to use than the silly little orange thing provided with the connectors. Yes it's more expensive than the knockoffs, but I have had 100% success using it to demate SharkBite with both copper and PEX, so it's absolutely worth the extra few dollars to me.

Perfect tool
Very well made. Heavy duty . Makes life a lot easier when trying to remove a shark bite fitting. 100 % easier then the plastic fittings or the metal tongs that I a have. A great upgrade.

Don’t open wide enough to fit on supply lines
I haven’t actually gotten to use them yet. I thought I was going to just now at work but they do not open wide enough to fit on water heater supply lines which is the whole reason I bought them. Probably going to return and find some that work on supply lines.Ok so I have an update, it turns out they just don’t work on the flex pipe supply lines, but they do work on regular water heater braided hoses. And I gotta say, they work GREAT. I usually fight with those things trying to get them off. Not this time. They slid right off with a like bit of twisting. Will be keeping.

Save you hands and frustration
One big advantage of shark bites over press fittings is the ability to remove them to adjust or reuse on an install ( as long as the pipes were demurred before use , they can be reused a few times). Getting them apart can be hard to near impossible with those orange rings they supply. Even coupled with an adjustable wrench swear words will be spoken at times. ( Note the SB videos always show the guy pulling one apart at a work bench wher you can easily grip the pipe and Orange rings ). The only disadvantage is price but I would rather avoid the pain and frustration. Should last a lifetime.

Worth the money
The price for these seemed a bit high to me at first, but after saving about 50 connectors, they have paid for themselves over and over. While I realize there are other, maybe cheaper ways to remove a sharkbite/ push to connect fitting, there isn't an easier way. They allow you to pull on the fitting and the pipe at the same time making it twice as easy to remove. Plus they do not damage the fitting in any way. A must have to for your carry in bag.

Oh yes! to this tool
I’m a pro and I had no idea this tool even existed until a fellow pro showed up on the job with one. Forget those little orange plastic gizmos, and those cheap clamp-like presses (which seemed like a great answer comparatively). This tool is the shizzle! SO EASY TO USE. SO EFFECTIVE AT EASILY REMOVING SHARKBITES IN ONE MOTION. Love the fact that the fitting side and pipe side are different colors and clearly labeled - the little things also matter.I was a bit put off by the price initially. Months later I can say confidently it was worth every penny. As a pro I can’t imagine not having it. I think even a homeowner just doing their own plumbing would find this tool worthwhile.

First time using this tool
This little tool works great with sharkbite’s pipe connectors. It was my first time using it and it was easy to use.
