Heartfelt and beautiful !!!
It has to be the best book by Beth so far. I would really like if a movie is made out of this beautiful story.

This book is such a warm fuzzy read that makes you happy afterwards.
OH MY GOODNESS! This book is such a warm fuzzy read that makes you happy afterward. I am so glad I requested this book because it's so entertaining and lovely. Grandma Eileen is an incredible old woman and I wish she was my grandmother. I love how Leena grew from what we saw earlier on in the book to the strong young woman at the ending. This is a story of overcoming grief, family bonding, and how three women find themselves again after tragedy strikes their lives. The concept of a 79-year-old and a 29 year old swapping their lives are so interesting and you don't really see stories like this before. I loved reading from both their concepts and seeing their lives unfold. The elderly characters were my favorite and it was refreshing to read a book where an older person played the main role.Is there a petition to adapt this into a movie? Because I would love watching this unfold in a movie.

Wholesome, Happy & Funny
My Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌠My Thoughts:This was such a wholesome, happy & fun story to read. I absolutely loved the concept of grandmother & granddaughter living each others life for 2 months. It was an interesting & refreshing concept.Out of the two MCs I enjoyed Eileen's part of the story more & her personality was super fun. This is a book for almost all ages. I loved that the author explored various aspects like family dynamics, love, friendships, the relations with the neighbors in the book. There was lots of character development to see in all the characters as the story progressed.

The audiobook was great
The audiobook was great and the narrators have done a great job at it and a very thoughtful idea by selecting different narrators for the narration of the main characters the story of the book revolves around, by keeping in mind the age of the characters in the story as well.Coming to the writing of the book, it was well explanative and was in detail in regards to the the incident. And was a slow read as, the story once about 1/3 felt very flat and was very slow.Honestly I have not heard a lot of audiobooks, but liked the journey through this book.

Awesome contemporary novel
Leena Cotton lives in the city and her grandmother Eileen Cotton lives in the village. After having a panic attack at work, Leena’s manager directs her to take two months leave. Newly single and about to turn eighty, Eileen would like a second chance at love. But her tiny Yorkshire village doesn't offer many eligible gentlemen. So... Leena suggests that they swap lives for 2 months. This author is amazing. I absolutely loved this book. This is the first book I read of this author and I will be reading The Flatshare which is her debut very soon.I loved how the older generation was represented in the story and how Leena was very close to her grandmother. Eileen is a badass grandmother and anyone would love her. She manages to do things that leave us speechless. The characters were awesome and I ended up wishing they were my friends. They made me laugh and cry. I loved the way each character had a different problem in their life and taught us how to solve it.

A Beautiful Warm Hug on A Rainy Day <3
(Voluntarily reviewed an Audiobook on For The Love of Fictional Worlds)Okay, after listening to the audiobook of THE Switch, I totally get why people keep recommending her first book THE FLAT SHARE I have got to pick that book up -The Switch delivers a warm feeling of a tight hug just when you thought you were doing a-okay. The switch might be categorised as an adult romance; but it is mostly be a feel good family fiction; focused on dealing with grief, familial loyalty and moving on.Leena Colton has been struggling with... everything after she lost her sister to cancer-she has been struggling with the feelings of betrayal towards her mother, panic attacks debilitating enough to create problems in her career-so and so that she is given a forced sabbatical for two months. On the other hand, we have Eileen Colton, a recently divorced 80 year old, who has lived her life according to society's expectations so when her granddaughter lands on her doorstep; a swap of their lives sounds exactly what they both need to kick-start their lives. What follows is a growing up experience then both need - not just to understand themselves but to see what and how their lives have become stagnant. I can understand why there are so many readers who love the author's writing style-there is a warmth that somehow manages to put forward even through an audiobook - the sense of contentment that I got after ending this book was unparalleled.Definitely keeping an eye out for this author's work in the future.

Incredible
I read this author's first book in my book club and at first wasn't sure if she'd be my cup of tea but wow was I wrong. She's an incredible author who creates realistic turn pager plots. Characters are well thought out and each have beautiful arcs even those secondary characters. And its a riot, funny and heartfelt. Please don't hesitate and read this book, you won't regret jt

Another win for me!!
Now, after finishing The Switch, I know why I loved The Flatshare so much. It’s the writing, not just the story that speaks to me.the writingFor me The Switch really shows off the author’s writing style. Besides an engaging and charming story, it’s the writing that made me chuckle and laugh. Simple interactions and monologues had me cracking up. I think I found an author that really works for me personally.the storyThe story was without a doubt, charming, endearing and heart-warming. Besides the official SWITCH, the underlying plot had surprising depth. The theme of how to move on and forgive after a shocking loss, wove through the plot without taking away from the overall joy of the story. Thanks to the alternate POVs, because both, Leena and Eileen’s stories were engaging, entertaining and absolutely lovely, I honestly couldn’t tell you which one I loved more. Both characters are dear to my heart. As with the author’s debut novel, this novel also had a couple sub-plots that kept the story moving forward. It was never boring, and I was pulled into the story from the very beginning. There was always something going on.the charactersOh boy, there were SO many amazing characters in this book. The older generation was the HOOT!! I have a weakness for seniors, just look at Missy Carmichael, the folks from The Big Finish and of course OVE. And the author portrayed them perfectly. They were cantankerous, funny, witty, and most of all, loyal and supporting. The gang in London was equally lovely and distinctive, and took Eileen in with open arms. The relationship between Leena and her grandmother was the heart of the story, but all the other friendships, new and old made this book unforgettable.to the pointI loved this book and will be purchasing a hardcover as soon as possible, because I need a copy on my bookshelf. This is a highly recommend book for me.
