Car Mount, KimHee CD Slot Car Mount Holder Cradle for iPhone 7/6s/6/6s, Samsung S7/S6/edge, Moto, HTC, Sony and All The Phone 3.5-5.4 inch

I purchased this along with  Koomus Pro CD Slot Smartphone Car Mount Holder Cradle for iPhone 6 6 Plus 5S 5C 5 Samsung Galaxy and all Smartphones . The KimHee mount feels better made and it fits more securely in the CD-slot. It does move a little, but no more than any other mount I've tried. The clamp holding the phone is the weakest part of the unit and isn't as nice as the one on the Koomus, but overall this one worked better for me.It's easy to adjust to any angle with one hand, and it stays in place. I'm using it with a Google Pixel XL with a case and it fits securely. I'm a spirited driver and I've never had any issue with the phone or the mount slipping or moving excessively. The mount does cover the central locking button in my car, but that's not a flaw, just a coincidental inconvenience.For such an inexpensive mount I'm very pleased with the quality and the metal construction. It looks much more expensive than it is. Hopefully the clamp will last the test of time. After a couple of months of use it's working well for me and I would recommend it.

0 Star!!! To thick to fit my cd player. INFURIATED!!! it comes with stupid rubber to make it thicker, but is already to thick to fit the cd slot. I dont have money or time to waste on junk that doesn't work. Now i have to go out of my way to modify this piece of junk taking far to much of my concentration and time for a fiddly contraption. I am completely sick and tired of buying junk and garbage from everywhere!!! I am at my wits end buying products that are cheaply made and doesn't work. Wasting my valuable time and putting money into corporations accounts for nothing!!! Complete rip off!!! LOOK!!! I am a busy person with responsibilities, I DONT HAVE TIME TO FILLY FART AROUND WITH FIDDLY JUNK!!!! I NEED TO BUY AND PLUG AND PLAY THE FIRST TIME AROUND WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT IT OR READING AN ENCYCLOPEDIA AND A COLLEGE COURSE TO OPERATE THE ITEM!!!!! ...... DONT BUY!!!!!!! :(

I bought this because I liked the simple design, with the elegant aluminum backbone, and the sturdy rubberized flipper that goes into the CD slot. The flipper rotates to vary the angle of the backbone to the flipper, and firmly maintains this angle. A ball and socket mechanism on the other end of the backbone connects to a spring-powered grip that holds onto the phone.As mentioned by previous reviewers, the spring mechanism is a poor design, because, with a small amount of torque, the grip arms can be separated from the mechanism, causing the internal springs to be disconnected. Some care is then required to reassemble the springs with the other parts.Other problems are that no product instructions are included (I received the product in a clear plastic baggie), and the spring mechanism does not include a button to engage or release the spring arms, as with similar CD Slot Holders.

This product looks great, was easy to install and a good price. And it worked great in my Mini, placing my phone in the perfect spot without blocking the view of gauges, or covering up air vents. But after a month it's come apart twice. I was able to put it back together the app first time, not so sure this time. The issue is the spring mechanism that holds your phone securely. When opening it to put in or take out my phone (iPhone 7+) it stretches too far - even when I'm extra careful- and the components come apart. I'll try to fix it again, but shouldn't have to after such a short period of time.

I have a 2012 Honda Civic and just this past year, legislation was passed that requires drivers in my city to have phones mounted hands free in a moving vehicle. So I set out on a quest to find the right mount for me. I tried suction mounts but they don't seat well on contoured dashboards. I tried cheap plastic and rubber mounts that you place over vents but that restricted the air flow and the shear weight of the phone usually caused it to flop back and forth, or sometimes fall completely out. I tried one that had a sturdy clip and magnets to allow swiveling but even that one failed. This CD car mount is perfect for my situation. First of all, it's easy to install and does not require you to compromise the interior or design of your car, unless you still use your car's built-in CD player. When you insert the mount, you cannot use the CD player. Secondly, once mounted, the arm can be adjusted to suit your best vantage point as the driver. The entire unit appears to be constructed well with strong materials. I use it with my iPhone 7 but this should work for any modern smartphone.

It looks Great on my 2015 Civic, Sturdy and sleek looking, Gave it 4 Star only because though most part of of it is aluminum but not the Clip that holds the Phone, also it only opens up just wide enough to fit the iphone and won't extend any longer that could be an issue for many. Other than that i'm pretty satisfied.

If i could give negative stars i would. I bought two for my iphone 7 plus and it doesn't fit. i tried to put in the phone and product broke. I did a return but that requires me to go back to the post office and ship it back for a refund...but honestly, who has time for that.Do not buy this product or anything that KimHee makes. Awful product description, awful construction, and overall bad experience. Yuck.

I wanted to wait a while until I wrote this review as I wanted to use the product and really see how well it worked. I've tried probably almost every type of phone mount made and nothing worked. Windshield suction cups would always fall off, don't like the vent holders, don't want my phone to get too hot or too cold. However this product has to be the best I've ever found fits right into the CD holder. holds my iPhone 6 Plus securely, no problem , right where I can see it and reach it. I've read other reviews that you can actually use your CD player when you have the phone mount in the CD player however I've never tried it. I play all my music through my auxiliary jack so not having access to the CD player doesn't bother me. I mean who listens to CDs anymore anyway? Hands-down this is an amazing and well made product you can't go wrong !!! 👍
