I have learned so much
I am a programmer by trade, but don't have much experience with the server management side of IT. I have had scares with backups for my home PCs. Finally I decided to do something about it with this book. A few days of reading gave me a great deal of knowledge. The final solution I decided on was BackupPC, which is now automatically backing up 7 PCs in our house, every night. My stress level has been reduced completely. Worth the price many times over.

A must have
One of a few books about Unix Backup Methods, a book each admin should have, but as it happens very often with IT books, the stuff explained is very complicated, not because Unix World is complex, but because of the heavy language and sometimes weird structure and logic, in order to fill out as many pages as possible. Example, page 180. The author explains rsync and Snapshot, which as he states, utilizes Hard-links and starts to explain what Hard-links actually are on page 186.
