Transformers Toys Generations War for Cybertron: Kingdom Commander WFC-K29 Rodimus Prime with Trailer Action Figure, Kids Ages 8 and Up, 7.5-inch

The MSRP for this figure is a whopping $90 USD (Yikes!), but I was lucky enough to nab him for around $40. There was no way I was ever going to buy him at retail price, but I saw him for OVER 50% off and I couldn't resist. And...wow. Just WOW. This is THE Rodimus Prime. Studio Series Hot Rod already set a high bar, but this figure just takes it to the next level.So let's talk about the main figure. The vehicle mode is a very faithful replica of classic Hot Rod/Rodimus and looks great. The robot mode, however, is where most of the magic lies. He just looks EXACTLY like Rodimus Prime should. His face is incredibly accurate, the graphics on his torso are very sharp, and his overall shape is great. He also has a compartment in his chest for the Matrix. The joints on my figure are also nice and tight, and his articulation is probably about as much as you could want. The weapons look decent as well.As for the trailer, holy cow is this thing huge and versatile. There is a ton of space to store accessories, the trailer can hold small Deluxe and Core Class figures (when empty), it can fold out into a sort of "weapon platform," and includes this huge transformable heavy gun accessory that can be used by almost any figure. The overall construction is super solid as well. As with all Commander Class toys, you also get a ton of rubbery "effect" pieces that can be applied to the robot, vehicle, and accessories, and they can be used with many other figures. There are so many little different things you can do with the stuff included here!My overall impressions are that the figure is superb. The only drawbacks are that the head articulation is a bit limited and the wheels are left unpainted. Do I think this is worth $90 though? Um...no. Not at all. I still think these Commander figures in general should be maybe $70 max. If you're a diehard Rodimus fan or have someone in your life who is, I still think this is a must-have for you.

If you love rodimus prime and you weren't happy with the size of the studio series, hot rod and you want something a little bit more taller, I definitely recommend it. It's a really nice piece

This has so far been the most expensive Transformers figure I have ever purchased and I am glad I did. Like all figures however they are not perfect but close. By far the most complicated figure in my collection and looking at the instructions and YouTube video simultaneously on how to transform him was still a nightmare. I must say his robot mode is just spectacular as is his car mode. A beautiful display piece but just be aware he is difficult to transform and definitely takes practice. Some of the pegs will not fit at first as I had trouble with his backpack portion but eventually got it to fit although one of the pieces around his left calf will not properly secure. Only other issue I had was with the trailer as the top two halves won't securely snap together. Despite these Minor issues the toy is amazing but expensive.

Note, at the time, this figure was on discount. So, it was SUPER, SUPER worth it for me. It cost me $66 at the time. But even at retail price, he was worth buying since he/Hotrod is arguably my favorite Transformer.Unfortunately, I didn't get to take photos of his alt mode because it's just a BEEFIER version of his Hot Rod car mode.At commander class, his transformation, look, and feel definitely shows its quality. But I do agree that without his trailer, turret, accessories, and blast effects, the figure by itself does seem more like a beefed-up version of a Voyager class figure or a Leader class figure.If you are a Rodimus Prime/Hot Rod fan, I wouldn't pass this up though.

I ordered this for my twelve-year-old grandson who has many Transformer toys. It’s a nice toy. However when he transformed it for the first time one of the parts didn’t snap into place and remain there.I wanted to return it for a refund because it cost over $100. However, the return policy said if the toy was used that they would only refund 50% of the original price. Since he had transformed the toy, it was considered used. The problem is how could he know there was a defective part until he transformed it?

Man, this thing is the best figure I've bought in recent years. Fingers articulate, possibility overall if oddly free feeling. Transformation is a blast. I see a lot of people saying "QC is shit because tab won't line up or peg too tight!"...did you follow the instructions? Or see any reviews? The tab in the back that connects the head-torso to the window is meant to be tight. Don't baby it, the plastic is VERY durable! The spoiler tab needs to be shifted ALL the way down as far as it can and, once again, DON'T BABY IT! This is a toy, not a Gunpla lol. Overall, with all the things included, this thing is worth it... to a point. If you are paying 90 bucks or even 100 (wtf?!), you are getting jipped. This thing, for all it's praises, is not worth $90+. That said, look at the prices and buy accordingly. As of right now, it's 79.99, perfect.

I think this figure is amazing, but not without its flaws. The face sculpt makes him look a bit too old. The trailer accessory’s seam doesn’t stay closed with or without the turret inserted. There’s always a small gap. A lot of accessories are included and the sculpt work on the figure overall is most excellent. Very accurate to the 80’s movie, albeit way more detailed. It also does everything the original gen 1 figure did, but better. I highly recommend it if you’re a fan of Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime.

Some minor QC issues aside, the Commander class budget really shows in the engineering of the figure, as the articulation is very good, with double jointed limbs and articulated fingers, with an awesomely intuitive transformation. While the alt mode is slightly inferior to the SS86 Hot Rod's (remedied with the trailer), the robot mode looks fantastic and is almost entirely kibble free. Even the wheels push up into the arms!The trailer is also quite nice; it's fun to play with and has a creative storage space for the Matrix and boost effects in the undercarriage. However, my copy, like many others, has a roof that doesn't plug in all the way, although this issue is easily fixed with some nail polish, for those who are willing to do some touching up on their figures.Although it's great, I would recommend waiting for Rodimus to go on sale for the Leader pricepoint. It goes on sale quite often, and it's an absolute steal and worth every penny that way.

Hot rod/Rodimus prime is perfect, very nicely detailed, the face sculpt does make him look alittle grumpy but its not an issue. Love the extra accessories that come with it, to give the figure more flare when posed or played with. The transformation was slightly complicated at first due to smaller pieces needing to be moved etc.The figure is brilliant and definitely recommend to any fan of transformers.

I bought one of this and one of another model for my two kids, both toys are the most depressing toys ever.The transformation between the modes is such a hassle and is too complicated, it kills all the fun in playing with it. My kid constantly wants me to transform between the modes because there is no way that he can do it himself. Even I struggle as a 38 years old man with a degree to complete the task and it takes a good 10 minutes to do it.Save yourself and your kids a lot of frustration, do not but it.
