I was able to open a large jar
I have had problems in the past opening a particular large juice bottle. Continuous aggravation. I was able to open the same type of bottle this week with ease. I did not need to apply that much pressure and the lid opened easily. I am not impressed with the smaller tool - that was just there. The large jar/bottle opener is what I wanted and like.

Works perfectly, very worth it
I was skeptical but this is one of the best product I’ve bought on amazon on a while. Had a ginger ale that really wouldn’t open. It hadn’t been frozen or shaken as far as I knew but had a few people try to open it with their bare hands and it was impossible that’s why I bought this and trust me, very worth it.

Works extremely well and it is amazingly sturdy. The best opener I have ever used!
Having had arthritis in my hands since my teens, I have used many jar/bottle openers out of necessity. The OXO ones work well, but wear out within a year because of the volume of usage. This fabulous opener has yet to find a container that it cannot easily open, even bottles of water with heavily sealed caps. I love it so much I ordered another one to have in 2 drawers on either end of my kitchen. The little extra black one is just as fantastic. This gripper does not exacerbate my carpel tunnel syndrome, either. I would give it more stars if I could.

IF YOU HAVE ARTHRITIS OR DIFFICULTY IN OPENING TOPS THIS IS YOUR BEST BET!!!!
The big one gives me trouble but NOT DUE TO THE PRODUCT! I don’t have working thumbs but the small one I use to open my Sprite etc is a lifesaver!!

Great bottle and can opener that my kids love to use
I bought this bottle and can opener kit for myself, because I am developing early arthritis in my hands since it runs in the women in my family. After watching me open some bottles and cans, my 10 year old asked if he could use them too. Now he is very helpful in the kitchen! He has poor fine motor skills, so these also help him open things he struggles with like soda cans and bottles. Both the can and bottle opener can open bottles, cans and lids of all different sizes. I no longer have to use a grip pad to open sealed glass bottles, which is great. These are durable and made to last and will be a staple in my kitchen to use on a daily basis. Definitely an essential kitchen tool!

Disappointing
I had great hopes these two items would aid me in opening a variety of cans, jars and bottles which is becoming more and more difficult due to arthritis in both thumbs. The larger of the two, which is supposed to open a variety of jars and bottles. Mayonnaise and jelly jars are very trying for me but this was of no help. It was extremely difficult to spread the handles of the jar opener wide enough to fit on mayonnaise jar. When I finally accomplished that, the handles were too wide apart to grip with one hand, while holding the jar still with my other hand. I even tried to hold the jar against my body, while using both hands to grip the handles. That was even more futile. The smaller tool to open cans with is too thick to slide under can tabs. Fingernails or a knife have to be used to get the pull tab up before the tool can slide under it to pull the tab back. Worthless.

Mom loves it
Got it for my elderly mom and she really likes it. I received it quickly and it has pretty good quality for the price. Now I'm trying to order a couple of more sets for my sisters, but, unfortunately, it's not available anymore.

I did not go for the top ratings because ..
I just got it. Arrived very quickly and well packaged.I immediately went to see how it worked , unfortunately it is not big enough to handle a peanut butter jar lid, was hoping it would but that is a no go. About a year ago one of my wrists started to hurt a lot doing anything so suddenly opening up any jars is a problem. I was told to get something similar to this and I looked around at other gadgets. This was the one I chose and I will keep it because one of the worse jars in my house has always been a jar of pickles lol and it works fine on those. But it will not help me out with other items that are larger such as a peanut butter lid so I need something that will on that so in the long run value for money, it is priced well but now I still need to find something that will help me to open a peanut butter jar lid well anything bigger than a pickle jar.I tried the smaller gadget on an already opened bottle of pop that is about the only thing I do believe it will open based on the size. The smaller gadget is really jsut a bottle opener, maybe a keytab assist for those cans that have them (I don't have any to try it with)Soy sauce used the bigger gadget on the small end and it worked.UPDATE within minutes. I managed to get it on the peanut butter jar lid .. BUT .. that actually screeched it wider at the base, so 2 things..1. very difficult to try and use it to open a fresh jar with lids as big as peanut butter jars will not try that again2. It actually got stretched out by the peanut butter trial (again not going to bother trying that again) but makes me wonder if someone had to use it for that because of no other alternatives just how durable it really is? will it break from using it for those jars eventually? if that is all a person has to try and make their life easier due to injury or simply age and less strength? it is now wider at the smaller end so that it no longer is as close as it once was and that was just after trying it on a peanut butter jar lid ONE timeAgain, I will not try that again, it really would be redundant as the ends are spread far too wide apart to actually do much good and the struggle to get it over the lid actually aggravated my already sore wristOverall it i seems durable as long as you only use it on jar lids no bigger than the average sized pickle jar, and both items will come in handy for the majority of jars or bottles that need to be opened that due to various reasons (ie soy sauce or syrup lids can get tacky and difficult to reopen)Now I just need to find something that will work for larger jar lids
