I've read tons of books on social anxiety, most published by highly clinical, academic types. This book is so much better because of the author's very personal battle with it. His writing style is so warm and understanding, it honestly feels like I'm getting advice from a really close friend who knows exactly what I'm going through, not some detached PhD who "studied" the disorder.After implementing some of the strategies he recommends, I feel like I'm *finally* starting to see some tangible progress. I'm so excited to continue my journey and get to the other side of this.Do yourself a favour: get this book and you'll see the changes in yourself.

A Real Problem Solved
Anxiety issues dog a lot of people. Tobias, in his thought-provoking book, uses a practical and pragmatic approach to feeling anxious around people, and unlocks the door to improvement with sound advice and easy to learn directives. If you've ever suffered from anxiety problems, you will find the answers in this excellent book.

Equal Parts: Authenticity and Relatability
Top-notch, sincere, and well-written. I appreciate the candor of the author, and the way his style is very down-to-earth and genuine. I've read quite a few works on anxiety, stress and worry; Some have helped, some have not. This book has been incredibly helpful and consistently insightful. I expect to reference it and return to it, on a regular basis.

Powerful story and practical tips
Toby's story hits me even though I don't have diagnosable social anxiety, though I suppose we all have some level of anxiety about social situations. I really enjoyed the way he describes his struggles, and it's quite gripping to see how he has pulled himself out of his situation. Great read, I highly recommend it.

I have read many books on the subject and one this has been the most helpful. Most of the book is about fixing your mindset and it makes way more sense to me where it was coming from and what I can do to fix social my anxiety. Highly recommend this book

Whole Hearted and transformational
Just a short message to say that I really appreciate Tobias' spirited, honest and whole-hearted writing in this book on social anxiety.His own transformation births changes in others too and I definitely recommend anyone who needs help with social anxiety to read this book and apply the knowledge that you will gain from it. Really great read.

You can finally take control of your life instead with solutions that work!
One of the biggest issues i've had growing up was social anxiety. The feeling that i'm not good enough, that i'll be judged or humiliated in front of other people has long kept me from living the life I desire. I've looked into all kinds of coaching to help me feel better about myself and while some gave me temporary relief, none ever left any lasting change.One of the greatest things about this book is that Tobias isn't some guy with a degree in psychology who is telling 'facts' about your brain with no real work application. He's someone who has had crippling social anxiety and used a variety of tactics to push his comfort zone, improve his confidence and become the man he always wanted to be - as I was reading this I felt that I wasn't alone in my pain and that someone else out there gets my troubles.The reason im leaving such a long review is because I felt this book has been written for me. I could relate to so many of the issues it made me realise that i'm not crazy and that there are actually solutions out there.If there was just one thing I would teach someone from this book it's the EFT techniques. They provide real, on the spot relief. The crazy thing is I heard about EFT 10 years ago and dismissed it as some new age crap. Only when I tried it did I realise how foolish I had been. If you want to have different results to those you are currently getting in your life, then you need to do things differently and EFT, the visualisation exercises and self image exercises are just some of the golden tips and solutions in this book that will allow you to finally take control of your life.I highly recommend this to anyone who knows deep down inside that they have a lot of potential and a lot more to give to the world but feel that there is some kind of 'barrier' or 'force' that is stopping them. You can break through that barrier and blast through to the other side. This book is what will help you to do that.

I liked the detail that the author went into (especially when introducing CBT based ideas). I also found the tone of voice to be very patient, encouraging and inspiring. It is a bit annoying when the author keeps plugging his website/online paid course. Given that the author is male, and he refers to his experiences a lot, it is likely to be most useful to young male SA sufferers.
