Little Man finally enjoyed his dad's basketball game
I was worried that these wouldn't fit my little man's head because it's HUGE! Once I figured out how to adjust them it fit perfect. I put it on my head to see how it sounded and it makes the sound like you're under water. I could still hear people talking to me but everything was muffled. I liked it because I still wanted to be able to talk to Little Man. He hates loud sudden noises and I wanted to bring him to his Dad's basketball game and not have to cover his ears the whole time. We sat by the hoop and the whistle and buzzer still made him jump but he wasn't crying at least. Then I moved to the sidelines away from where the whistles were blown and the buzzer. He was laughing and pointing and loving watching his dad play. He did take the headphones off and chuck them a couple of times. I think it was because he decided he didn't need them because they are very comfortable. Then the whistle would blow and he would grab them to have me put them back on. By the last 20 minutes of the game he kept them on the whole time. They seem like good quality and held up to being chucked on the court several times. I love how you can make them compact and easily fits in my hoodie pocket or a diaper bag. They look fine too and one guy thought he was just listening to music lol. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the product and would buy again. I do wish that they blocked out the buzzer and whistles a little bit more but it was manageable for him. Maybe it's a good step to getting him used to the noise since we want him to play when he's older.

Yes, it works but it's too tight
I put it on to test the noise cancelation. That is fine. And yes, it was small, but this was squishing my head. I even tried to set it up to expand a bit, but no go. I did use it on my young toddler, but on special occasions. Sirens going by, or other short, noisy occasions. But not more than 5 minutes because then the kid got fussy. I assume from having their head in a vice. Also, baby grew up a bit, and was very vocal about not liking these because they hurt.I would suggest against. I get that this has to be tight to not fall because kids are wiggly, but making it painful is on the opposite end of the spectrum.

Ok, fits our 2-year old, but I think noise reduction is sub-par
Although too big for any adult, just to test them out, I put one over my ear and the sound was reduced, but it's hard to say I'm too impressed. Compared to the adult pair I have, I'd say these are sub-par, and should be at least as good I'd say.I wear hearing protection often, and have used a lot of kinds (so I think I have a good basis for comparison), as I often work with power equipment / tools /etc, and I know the importance of protecting my hearing. I use both earplugs, and earmuffs. Earmuffs are always inferior to earplugs, but they should be not too far off.i would think they'd need to have the same dB reduction as an adult pair to really get a good review from me. I think part of the issue is that the plastic / rubber seals that should go around your ears are quite stiff, and leave a lot of gaps for sound to get in. The rubber surrounds should be pliable and supple to allow a good deal.I think for many purposes these are OK, but not great. 3 stars, but not more.

Baby fell asleep during loud, backyard fireworks!
First of all, THANK YOU, AMAZON, for delivering two days early and especially on a SUNDAY MORNING! I'm not sure if it was just coincidence or if Amazon knew I was buying it for my baby in anticipation of all the Fourth of July fireworks, but thank you for going above and beyond as far as the delivery goes! I got it in time for a backyard BBQ where they set off very loud fireworks at the end of the night!I ordered these headphones after reading the reviews and I'm glad I did -- they worked amazingly well! My 5-month old even fell asleep WHILE the fireworks were going off. At first I was worried they'd be uncomfortable. My baby did scratch at them when they were first placed on his head but after a while he got used to them. It must have been comfortable enough for him to fall asleep on my shoulder. My husband and I go to many baseball games where it tends to get loud so we'll definitely get a lot of use out of these! Great product!

Ear protection
Great for toddler (if they will keep them on) they even fit me and my husband so they would be good for older children as well. They are a bit to big around the top of the head for my six month old. There is about two or three inches from the top of her head which is who we bought them for. I wish we could adjust them to touch her head since she is so small but they still work. They fit my 1.5 year old perfect and you can adjust to make bigger then they also fold up small.Update we ended up using them on the plane but they were way to big for my six month old to wear longer than like five minutes. I actually wore them myself during our flight.

We love them - but I think the advertising is a bit misleading
My kids love these. I have 50 years of experience with hearing issues in my family. We have both sensitivity to ambient noise and a need to protect our ears from damage from loud noises. These are great for blocking out ambient noise around the house. But they're not industrial quality protection from loud noises.I have a soft low range voice. When my five-year-old is wearing them around the house, she can still hear my voice clearly, when I am speaking at a normal conversational level. I have tried them myself. They don't block even out as much noise as my Macks Ultra Soft Foam ear plugs. So for ambient noise by these were great. But, again, these are not industrial grade hearing protection against ear damage from loud noises.
