Govee LED Strip Lights 10m, Smart WiFi App Control RGB LED Lights, Work with Alexa & Google Assistant, Music Sync for Bedroom, Kitchen, TV, Party

This is my 3rd Govee light strip (others are in different places). They are very good value and work really well. I say in the title no frills, this is because unlike other more expensive LED light strips, these have no cover over the LEDs or exposed bits of circuitry. Don't let this put you off if you are looking for an inexpensive LED light strip that can be controlled my the app or "Smart Assistants". They stick really well and bright for the price, I have some Philips Hue light strips which were more than 3 times the price, but they aren't 3 times better than these. These don't require a hub (hue hub £50+), the app is simple and easy to use and Govee customer service is A+ They are great for the price, have good features and work really well.

I already have a strip of these lights which I bought 2 years ago, and they're still going strong. I decided to buy a second strip to go on the other side of the room. There was a fault with the second strip after a few months which meant that the colours wouldn't change properly - Govee customer support was excellent, and I have to say, my experience with them is a big reason for me giving this product 5 stars and recommending it to you today. After I'd submitted my video demonstrating the problem, they got back to me the same day, and provided a replacement the next working day. It was crazy how good the service was. Adhesion - the strip is easy to apply. It's on a spool so all you have to do is peel off the adhesive protection, roll and stick, roll and stick. Mine have been installed on the ceiling for years with no sign of coming unstuck. Colours - the colours are fun and you can use pre-programmed colour change patterns, as well as programming your own. I will say that it's difficult to get a true yellow or pink with the lights, but I think that's the nature of RGB lighting. Once you do find a colour you love, you can save a shortcut for it in the app, so at least once you've found a decent shade of pink, you don't have to worry about finding it again. App - the app is easy to use. If you have multiple Govee products, you can name them and see them all in one place to toggle them on/off. There's a sound feature so you can pair the lights to your music, or play some preset sounds with matching light patterns (e.g. rain, jungle sounds, lightning storm, whale song). There is also a timer feature on the app - I like to have mine turn on slowly over 15 minutes before my alarm clock goes off in the morning. Often, the light alone is enough to wake me up, and I find it's a more natural (and nice) way to wake. Length - I bought the 10m version and found it a really generous amount of lights. The length from the plug to the beginning of the lights could be a little longer, but it does look as if you could probably put an extension lead between the lights and the plug if you wanted to. I have one strip of lights going around the top of my room, and the cable was long enough to reach from the wall socket (at at a conventional height) to the ceiling with a little slack. There is a control panel along this section of the cable, which you are able to stick to the wall with a pre-attached 3M adhesive strip. This means I have an on/off button physically attached to the wall, for times when I want to control the lights without my phone. I would definitely highly recommend these lights. A lot of stuff that I buy on amazon comes from brands you've never heard of, so you don't know what kind of support you're going to get. Now that I've experienced great support from Govee, I will continue to buy their products in the future.

Lights are bright, but were a bit dimmer since i put them behind my desk. easy installed just peel and stick, great quality. App is easy to use. Fits perfectly with my theme. Only 'bad' thing I can say is that some colors aren't that contrasted and you sent find,For the pink in the second photo I had to go orange. Overall great product

Bought these 3yrs ago..for back of my 65 inch tv.. Working great until recently now stopped working..need to be replaced...

Slowly replacing all the various brands of cheap, unreliable and poor quality lighting strips with Govee products. They are great quality, bright and the app is fantastic.

I paid extra for these strip lights because Amazon certified that they worked with Alexa. Setting them up and linking them was easy but once connected with Alexa their operation is patchy to say the least. Turning on and off generally works ok but sometimes won’t work (despite Alexa saying “ok” and reporting no connection issue). Cannot adjust colour using Alexa and changing brightness works about 25% of the time. The lights today have started turning themselves off randomly too. If I hadn’t stuck them to my son’s roof already I would return them. The problem with changing colour is not a connection issue as when trying to adjust the colour through the Alexa app it still won’t let me change the colour - when I do it just reverts back to what it was. The whole point of buying this brand was to be able to adjust them by using Alexa, save your money and just buy cheap stop lights and hook them up using a smart plug Update - now three LEDs have failed and are a different colour to the rest of the lights. I’ve only had the lights for slightly over two months. Don’t waste your money

I have other Govee led strips and I've found them to be really good quality and give off really good light. But these strips I found to look a little cheap and the strip itself is definitely not as thick, which seems to effect the light that it gives off. It was easy, as usual, to connect the strip to the Govee app and play about with settings etc. Just overall a little disappointed with the quality as I have other Govee products that I think are much better.

Seriously,for this money the best what you can get. So, good even when my wifi was down straight away communicated via Bluetooth. When you connect to wifi , you can control the light from even a different country. The colours tland themes are so many and verigated. Highly recommend.
