Cheap, works well and loads of fun!
For what you're paying, it's a great product. Does everything it says in the description! My nephew and I were able to put these things through quite the beating and they still held up. There's obviously the eventual fear of it getting jammed or stuck at a partially extended state, but that has yet to happen with mine and we've been using it for quite some time now.

which is nice for taking it to the park
The recipient of this was beyond thrilled. It telescopes close, which is nice for taking it to the park. It was held up well with A LOT of play. A very good deal @ <$9

A well built product with a fully collapsible blade
I purchased this lightsaber on November 1, 2016. It's exactly what I wanted, except it lacks a "release switch".My favorite lightsabers have always been a series released by Hasbro in the late 1990s, after the prequels debuted. This series included Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn's lightsabers, as well as Anakin Skywalker's; and they came in the proper green and blue but also red and purple. They completely collapsed into the hilt and had a release switch on the side that allowed the telescoping blade to extend. This lightsaber is nearly identical in quality to the series from the 90s. It's not as hefty, being a little lighter and slightly smaller. It is also lacking in any mechanism that releases the blade from it's housing in the hilt (it fails to qualify for the fifth star because of this). However, it does in fact collapse completely into the hilt. This lightsaber is modeled after Kanan's, from the Rebels cartoon; a less distinctive design than some others, but unique enough to warrant attention from a fan. One minor qualm is that the size of the product is almost noticeably small for the average adult, so I guess its designed with a child's size in mind. Still, the attention to detail is substantial and it's also a great addition to the BladeBuilders line because of its simplicity and elegance.Summary: Ultimately I got this as a gift and I was not disappointed (I even tried it out before giving it away). However, if it met the same specifications the 90s sabers had, it would easily get the fifth star and I would be purchasing one to add to my collection. As it stands, it's a well-built product that appears to be durable.

Great Hilt, Terrible Blade
I have now owned this for less than 10 hours at this point, and it's already broken. I haven't hit anything with it and have deployed the blade less than 15 times and even when doing so, only giving enough force to make it deploy. The blade now gets stuck when on the second to top and the top, and no matter what I do, how hard I push, how hard I pull, it wont go back in.

Affordable Fun!!
I ordered two because my 3 year-old just became nimble enough to have decent control with a toy like this. He's able to open it fully on his own and we play forever with these :-)

I wish there was an option to leave 0 stars ...
I wish there was an option to leave 0 stars. This "lightsaber" DOES NOT light up. Nowhere in the item description does it mention this is just an extendable sword that doesn't light up.

Sturdy and fun
Kids love it. It's held up so far and they play with it daily and it's been over a month.
