Pretty good. Has a strong roasted flavor, with hints of dark chocolate. Not too much natural sweetness. It is very fine and sifts very nicely, but also has a very noticeable astringency that leaves your mouth feeling very dry. It is nice that it comes in a large size, however.

Before I bought this brand, I reviewed the AprikaLife Hojicha as the best I could find. It was good, but this is much better. I find the taste to be stronger and more caramel-y than the AprikaLife brand. There are mixed reviews on this product, because people seem to not like the taste of Hojicha, which is subjective. Sometimes, I prefer the taste of this to matcha which can be more earthy and grassier.If I had to describe the taste of Hojicha, I would say that it tastes more caramel-like with roasted tones, similar to Thai tea. It doesn’t have the strong grassy notes of Matcha. I use this powder to make a latte every morning. I add 1 ½ tsp of Hojicha powder to whole milk and whisk it on the stove while heating it up, then I add monk fruit sweetener as desired. The mixability is much better than matcha, I find that the powder dissolves very easily, no clumps and barely needs to be whisked. Another reason to consume Hojicha over matcha is that it has an even lower caffeine content, with 5-10g of caffeine per serving as opposed to matcha which is 30-45g of caffeine per serving. I am sensitive to caffeine so I feel like I don’t need to worry with Hojicha since the caffeine content is so low.

It's got such a unique and delicious flavor. It's got this sweet, smoky taste that's just so comforting and satisfying, especially on a chilly day. Plus, since it's low in caffeine, it's perfect for those times when I want a cozy drink without the jitters. I've been using it to make lattes at home, and it's been such a hit with my friends and family. If you're a fan of green tea or just looking to try something new, I definitely recommend giving this hojicha powder a try!

I’m a hojicha virgin and this one did not disappoint! It has a toasty roasted taste, umami and rounded taste. Almost like herby chocolate milk! I love it! Best with oat milk with maple syrup! I literally drank this before bed and I was able to seep. Whisks easily, creamy and the color is vibrant brown.

I tried this product for the first time today on 12/31, I don't have much experience with Hojicha but i find this brand very nutty, chocolatey and gives a smooth mouth feel. I used about 30ml of cold water and 40mls of hot water for 2 scoops (with my bamboo spoon) of hojicha and whisked it my chasen as I would with regular matcha. It froths very nicely and looks very rich. I then added it to a cup of frothed oat milk and 3 tablespoons of maple syrup (I think with 2 would've been even more perfect so it wouldn't been too sweet but still came out tasty) and really liked the outcome. I'll definitely be adding this to my drinks routine.

This is my first time ever having hojicha. I recently became a matcha lover and enthusiast. This lives up to all the reviews I saw on TikTok and read on here. It smells like dark chocolate. And it tastes like a a very robust roasted nutty dark chocolate. Lovely after taste. As my first introduction to hojicha, I’m genuinely impressed and will be buying again. This will be my go to while I explore other brands. I am just about to make another cup. 👏🏽👏🏽

I’ve been either cold whisking this or preparing it the traditional way and pouring over milk/ice and omg!!! So good and comforting, tastes smooth and really hits the spot when I want a ‘latte” without the caffeine :)

I use this to make hojicha lattes at home. 1.5 tsp of powder with 8 ounces of milk of your choice (I use soy) with 1tsp of maple syrup. I can't go back to hojicha lattes at cafes because this is such a cheap alternative making it at home to your taste. I'll continue to order this brand.

Sono soddisfatta del prodotto, il sapore tostato ricorda un mix di cioccolato, nocciole, e caffè. Consiglio di prepararlo anche con del latte vegetale, ricordando che ogni latte vegetale ha un sapore un po’ diverso e il risultato può variare.

Schmeckt super als iced latte. Inhalt sollte trotzdem in ein anderes luftdichts Behältnis gefüllt werden um die Qualität beizubehalten.

amazing for baking made swiss rolls with these and you can really taste the flavour. quite expensive for amount but would buy again.
