As someone with naturally curly hair, I’ve been through my fair share of products that promise definition but either leave my hair feeling heavy, crunchy, or dry after a day. The Fix My Curls Protein Styling Duo has been a refreshing change. I have a mix of tighter curls at the back and looser waves at the front, and this combo works surprisingly well for both. The curl defining cream feels light yet nourishing, and it spreads easily without leaving a greasy residue. It helps my hair hold its natural shape while reducing the frizz that is almost inevitable in Indian humidity. The gel adds hold without that unpleasant “helmet hair” feeling I have experienced with other brands. After air-drying, my curls looked defined and soft to touch. The real standout for me was how my hair felt on day two. Usually, with other products, my curls would lose shape and I would need to re-wet and restyle completely. With this duo, I only needed a quick refresh spray and my curls bounced back. However, I do have a few suggestions. The fragrance, while pleasant, is on the stronger side, and I would prefer a milder scent for daily use. Also, while the product worked beautifully for my medium-porosity hair, those with very fine curls might find the cream slightly heavy if applied in excess. Overall, this is one of the better curl care products available in India, especially for those looking to manage frizz without losing softness. It is not the cheapest option out there, but given the results and the fact that a little goes a long way, I consider it a worthwhile investment for anyone serious about their curl care routine. As expected the quality is amazing. It has pretty good hold and lasts up to two and a half days ( approx). It works just fine for my medium length hair. It’s sticky but dries crunchy. A little heavy but then again lather a small amount on your hands and use it for easy application.

This is one of my favourite curl gels and probably the only one I'd use. It smells AMAZING because of the vanilla bean extract and smells even better when it's on your hair! It's not too thick or thin in texture, allowing it to spread easily through your curls. It works great for my high porosity, dry curls. It's not that sticky. It provides excellent hold leaving my curls defined to a T. It leaves a cast that's easy to remove just by scrunching with dry hands and fluffing your curls out- leaving you with soft-soft hair that smells like vanilla pudding!

Not suitable for thick curly hair requiring strong hold. Gives very mild hold. Lasts for 2 day only

An amazing product to style waves

If I could, I would give it zero stars. The gel does not mention how much hold it has - this is basic. I was new to CGM and well, thanks to Instagram hype, I bought it. The gel does not have enough hold - it is light to medium hold at best. Even 20ml is not strong enough to develop a cast. I had no idea hold was the issue as it was my first gel and landed up buying other products such as deep mask and curl cream thinking something was wrong with my hair. My hair became progressively worse with the additional products and I then had to then buy a clarifying shampoo! Eventually, I switched gels - I got Set Wet yellow bottle and it worked like a miracle! I did not need any of the other products I landed up buying because of this god forsaken gel. So much time, energy and money down the drain because they can't be bothered to specify the hold of the gel. HORRIBLE GEL! And just to note, set wet gel is barely 1 Rs. per ml, this is almost 4 Rs. per ml. This is 4 times as expensive and not even half as effective.

The product is amazing. Although it has a slight smell to it but its not a bad smell just a light fragrance. If you know the steps to get a good curly hair look and all you need is gel to give your hair a finishing touch then I would definitely recommend this product. You just require 3 pumps of this product to be applied on your wet hair and scrunch your hair and leave it to air dry. The product does the rest of the work for you.

I would love to get the pink and yellow packaging, the container I got was ugly. The product itself is my favorite to lock in curls. Lightweight- not too sticky. Smells ok.

More of a medium hold gel than I prefer. Has a strong perfume scent. If you want stronger hold, get the Flaxseed Gelly.

LOVE THIS GEL. Doesn't have great hold but decent. Very lightweight and packed with protein so my curls and waves just POP. If ur protein sensitive this may dry and frizz out ur hair

If you have thick curly hair it os not hold very well. Will not repurchase
