Not only do I use this for coffee I also use it for my loose tea. When steeping my tea, sometimes it leaves more tea leaves floating in my cup than I like. I simply use this to strain it out and it works wonderfully. I also enjoy making drip coffee. I get strong coffee out of it and taste better than a coffee pot. Makes a great gift for coffee or tea lovers.

It works fine, good price, however, It was described as 'single layer' and it is definitely not. It is probably good to have two layers, and it filters good; It has a very fine inner layer, so far no problem cleaning it. The holes are slightly larger on the outside layer than another similar one I have from a different maker, but the inner liner is finer so filters better. I had to give four stars because it is not what they said it was.

I use this in an unconventional way. I use it to filter out grounds when pouring coffee from my percolator. It gets even the finest sediment out for a smooth delicious cup of coffee without the extra cost or mesa of dealing with filters. Just give it a quick rinse and its good to go. Ive also used this to strain chunks from bone broth and it works great for that as well. Nothing gets stuck it’s super easy ti clean with a rinse, and also fine thrown into the dishwasher.

I have used this for the past four days and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Easy to use and fits most standard size mugs. I would have enjoyed it more if it would be compatible with a larger wide brim mug. You can make your coffee as strong or weak as you like. The unit filters out all grounds and if I want really strong drip coffee I run the first pass again and it enhances the coffee strength. I will be taking this on the road because a use it is so useful and has a small profile.

Great item for the price. But, the genius who packed it got two stars knocked off because, although its stainless steel and sturdy, its geometry is not going to hold up well against heavier boxes placed on top of the bubble envelope it placed within. So, it was bent and straightening it out caused more damage.

I like it a lot.

This thing is tiny. I know the description gives the measurements but there’s no way you can stand there waiting all morning for the water to go down. Sent back.
