The Expendables Trilogy [Blu-ray]

Love these films and finally got the blu-ray boxset of all three.Only downside is the Director's Cut of the first film is not here, instead you get the full uncut version of the Theatrical Cut (was cut at the cinema in the UK). But you do get the Extended Cut as well as the Threatrical Cut of No. 3.All in all a good package though you might want to pick up the Director's Cut of No.1 for completeness if you're OCD like me...

Saw the first in the series in the cinema. Caught up with the other two as they came out. They are ensemble films, and action sequences pretty much dominate the whole trilogy. Nothing wrong with that, if that’s your thing. You know what you’re getting when you see the cast list, especially Sylvester Stallone. So, not particularly memorable plots, but plenty going on.

Nothing special about these films. They're the usual blow 'em up, shoot 'em up films. A couple of tender moments and a couple of funny moments especially between Schwarzenegger and Willis who quote each others lines from other roles (Terminator & Die Hard) Not much of a plot in any of the three films but you can follow what story there is. Worth the money if only for Bruce Willis and Jason Statham.

Great movies, have every action star you can want in them. I think the second is the best and not just because of van damme but it's helps ;)

Obviously, this series is no exception to the majority of the sequel-mania. The first is the best and the sequels are good but not beating the original to the finishing line. Still, they are all very entertaining and I like them just for the chill-out factor.
