Amelia gets an A+The plastic scalp may be sensitive to chemicals. Practice using product including heat protectant, and conditioner to protect the hair. Considering how much blow drying this doll head can experience and still look good, the hair loss is nothing.

This doll head is great I love it yes it sheds but you just have to be gentle when brushing it. It washes well and it curls very pretty. The ends are a little wispy but nothing a good trim can fix. Overall it great for what I need it for.

Worst doll head ever . I should of took note to the reviews . Sheds, hair is now thin and you can see scalp . Very poor quality and I will never buy from this particular vendor again.

Not so sure if Amelia's hair is 100% human hair. Pretty sure it's a blend of human and horse hair. It's coarse, yet still soft. Once flat ironed, it becomes even more softer.When her hair is wet, it has that weird gummy feeling, which is what made me question if it were 100% human hair. Either way, her hair takes high heat very well. The highest heat I've used on her so far is 390°F. Hair holds styles very well.Unfortunately, as always with these cosmetology mannequins, the seller advertises a specific length, but does not deliver the full length as advertised. Instead, Amelia has those thin, stringy ends. I trimmed those off immediately after washing her hair.The hair does shed. Washing and conditioning it does help and calms things down but doesn't completely alleviate it.Amelia makes up for the cons though. Got those lifelike eyes, which gives her a more natural look. She's got the ears you can tuck her hair behind, which I love!Overall, I would recommend her if you're on a budget and want a hair mannequin with a good bit of density.Two star deduction for the stringy ends and shedding.

I love this doll, however she is way too over processed. That is why I gave 4 stars Her hair doesn't look good blow dried, but looks very nice flat ironed and beveled. I was working on her for 8 hours yesterday at school. Washed twice cut twice blow dry twice flat iron twice did pin curls and a roller set. I will definitely order again (should I want another blonde doll!!!) and she's not ugly!!!Side note: she had really pretty lose curly wet hair

This head is attractive not scary ugly like others I have purchased before . Therefor we use it for makeup application. the hair is real. Not fake. Worth the great price I used to pay 80$ not anymore!

Great buy! Worked for what I needed. Practice, practice, practice. Stray hair on the ends were a bit frizzy so I trimmed them and ended up just fine. It’s the same that I used in hair school so knew what to expect and was satisfied.

This mannequin's hair is synthetic. It says "100% human hair" But it's not. If I use heat on it, it will melt, and I can't color or bleach it. It says it's "suitable for state board exams" but Its obviously not if it has synthetic hair. The only pros about it is that it's pretty and good for cutting and practicing braiding or any hair styles that don't involve putting heat on the hair.
